Jamie

This picture is like a game of Where's Waldo; only it's Where's Jamie? It totally made me laugh when I looked into the store window, so, of course, I had to whip out my camera and take a pic. Going to the hairdresser took me through one of my favourite neighbourhood's so I walked a bit, taking in the sights and grabbing some photos along the way.

I loooooooooooooooove getting things in the mail and recently I got this order from Amazon.ca, with two books for the 2012 Movie Moxie Book to Film Club (The Bell Jar is the April Book Selection & Anna Karenina we'll read later in the year). Plus I'm a sucker for free shipping so I was thrilled to see the fabulous bilingual Canadian action/comedy non-buddy cop movie Bon Cop, Bad Cop listed right at the perfect price to get my order to free shipping land. Now, I have to get to reading The Bell Jar! I wonder if I'll like it.

Me on YouTube

Suzie

Yesterday was insanely busy. I don't think I took one photograph so here is a still from my birthday blog video. I am having such mixed feelings about the giveaway and my videos in general. I continue to struggle with how I want to appear to my readers. Sometimes I just feel like I look so domestic but at the same time, I think I look great in this particular video.

Then, as much as I adore skulls and all things dark and funny (in my own weird humour way) I get all "girly girl" over heart and flower punches for fondant and sugar sheets. I know it may be because I am complex but sometimes I feel like a huge part of me is not being seen and that bothers me. I do not want to be seen as the domestic housewife who makes cookies for her husband. And yet, I am.

Jamie, I love your artsy photos and I see you! Where was that, near Queen?

Me too Shannon, nothing brightens my day more than getting something in the mail and even better when it is stuff you ordered from amazon!

Still can't imagine The Bell Jar as a movie. I never made it through the whole book. I think the movie will be up my alley, just hope it comes here.

Wow, I have no idea where that picture was taken but that black & red pattern in Jamie's pic totally reminds me of the edible paper in Suzie's video! The serendipity continues :)

This was actually the window of a futon store on Bloor Street in the Annex. It sure grabs the eye!

Suzie, I love your contradictions! I think it's one of the awesome parts of Suzie :) It's like, "Look, there's Suzie making cookies." "Omg, is that a skull on her processor?" "Don't get too close, man, she'll kick your ass!" "Oh, wait, no, she's handing me a cookie." "Better say thank you or she'll kick your ass!"

hehe

What a cool futon store Jamie!

Thanks Jamie, I guess it just means I am full of surprises. I am convinced that is why I would have made an excellent spy, LOL. No one would suspect except those who really know me.
