Shannon

After a really busy week last week, I made a conscious decision to relax more this week. Of course, the inadvertent companion to doing that, is it allows me time to try/see/watch/read things not already on my radar and collect more things to love - which happened last night with the Season Premiere of The Deadliest Catch. Sigh. Sometimes it's hard to love some many things!!

Under Our Willow Tree

Suzie

I had a rough day yesterday (although Hexed was awesome Shannon). I am feeling really discouraged about crafting and with my kitchen stuff falling apart. Yesterday it was the salad spinner we have had for years and years. I am so worried about money and our future.

So when I made this loaf of bread which ended up HUGE I felt like my breadmaker was telling me at least I could rely on it. Lately it's been making really tiny little loaves but not yesterday!

When I started my foodie journey I gave up on jewellery making because I knew doing two things would be impossible. I'm wondering if I was right. I just don't seem to have time and energy for both and I am worried it's hurting me as a foodie.

OH my goodness gracious Suzie, that is an extraordinary large loaf of bread! Way to go for your breadmaker supporting your endeavours!

I sometimes struggle with the many interests things too. It's helped me to separate them out and know that today my focus is Interest A! and tomorrow I'll be working on Interest B! Although with food, you kind of need that every day, but you could make crafty days ones where you let food focus be simpler, if that makes sense.

Isn't that bread crazy Shannon? Oh and I love Deadliest Catch too! I had to stop watching it when Reg made some life decisions, freaked me out, but I never take crab for granted after watching it.

Sounds like we are both dealing with frustration of trying to fit everything we want to do and watch in our lives. You're totally right, I have to set my priorities. I was frustrated and rushing to do some crafting stuff (which ended up causing mistakes) because I had to go to the doctor's today. The Universe keeps testing my resolve to Crafty Thursdays and this week... I had push it aside.

Thanks so much Shannon! I hope you manage to find a way to get all the fun stuff (including awesome TV) into your schedule too. I don't know how you do as much as you do already.

Oh I can totally understand why not watching Deadliest Catch would be a good idea Suzie!

One thing I find helpful when working with different interests, is realized what I need to enjoy or work on them, whether it be the amount of time or energy (including prep & post-work). And if I don't have enough time - then it might be best to leave it to when I do. It's a continually evolving process, but I hope that idea helps!

LOL, thought you might get that Shannon, LOL. I saw an episode with a rogue wave and that was it!

You're right. Rushing when you don't have time is no fun at all and if it is supposed to be a fun project, I should just put it aside until I have time. That helps a ton, thank you! It's funny how easy it is to forget that but it happens.
