Jamie

But the real question is: does art save Bob Harper? Hehe! I was a bit worried reading the description of Bob's intense approach to yoga that it wouldn't respect what I love about the practice and would just be aggressive. I've only had a bit of a look but so far that's not the case. Plus Bob's love of training and his expertise really comes through. I haven't had a chance for even the briefest look at Jenny Doh's Art Saves but I'm really looking forward to it.

Spent a day training and was treated a welcome surprize of a beautiful, nutritious and delicious lunch. Learning & lunch. Works for me :)

I spent a big part of Crafty Thursday (formerly known as Creativity Thursday) trying to figure out how to make a video in iMovie. It hurt my very own skull as I turned my Ice Resin photo tutorial into a slideshow with music. Super steep learning curve but as Shannon always says, you only have to do it for the first time once. Thank god!

Lunch and Learn ftw!! That catering looks pretty darn delicious! Let's see if I can compete tonight for dinner ;)

Yay, Suzie! What a big step. Justin bought me a video editing program for Christmas last year and I still haven't delved into it! It really can be skull-hurting!

Hey, why did you go from Creativity Thursday to Crafty Thursday? Just curious.

Jamie, is that a DVD? Is it his own style of yoga? I'm very interested. Reg is, ahem, very particular about yoga classes and if you found a winner, I would love to hear about it. Art/crafting is saving me right now. That looks right up your alley!

Shannon, what a wonderful surprise and that does look tasty, yum!

Thanks for letting me know I am not the only one struggling with making videos Jamie. It does hurt the brain, doesn't it? I literally got a tension headache but then I watched the video and was happy and knew it was worth it.

Crafty seems to becoming my "word" right now. I like the idea of Crafty Suzie. There is something so naughty about it and I like that it can also be linked to witches in a cool way. Creativity felt a little too safe.

Ah, that makes total sense, Suzie! I get it :)

As for the Bob DVD, without knowing what it is that Reg likes, it's hard to say. It's yoga. You do downward dog and plank and tree, etc., but there are also strength moves built in (like being in Warrior 1 and straightening and bending your knee). It was under $10 on Amazon when I got it, making it pretty affordable to give it a go.

So much seems to ride on whether you like the instructor or not. I quite like Bob.

That's a great deal for a yoga DVD! Reg likes clear instructions and not-too-fast-pace. He needs someone who really teaches him the moves and doesn't assume you know how to do downward dog... That's great that the instructor is likeable, yes, so important!

This DVD probably isn't right then. There wasn't really any teaching or introduction to the asanas, just notes on refining and maintaining good form. Something like that would be awesome.
