I love that I have a series of photos of Shannon taking her series of photos every time we go to a movie for the Book-to-Film club. We just saw The Secret World of Arrietty based on the Mary Norton book, The Borrowers. The movie was captivating. The animation was magical. I'm so glad we're on this journey together.

Weekend watching this weekend was really voluminous. Not quite sure how I made it through so many films in 1 day plus a slew of DVD extras with a few more to go. I will be one busy person reviewing this week! Good thing that all of them were enjoyable and all of them stuck with me, especially Café de Flore and The Secret World of Arrietty.

Had a very stressful day of unexpectedly rushing out of the house into town. Not the relaxing day we had planned so it concluded with some shopping therapy with Reg's gift card on the way home. Can you tell who bought what?

LOL, Suzie, yes, I think it's pretty clear who bought what! When I saw the picture, I was like "Jazz? Suzie bought a book on Jazz?" And then I read and understood. I'm glad there was a treat in there with your unexpected outing.
Wow, I haven't heard anything about The Secret World of Arrietty before! That's great you both went to see and Shannon, I don't know how you watch those many videos. I can't keep up with TV!
Reg has been seduced into the world of jazz by his guitar teacher which I knew would happen. Which is good for him. He is loving studying music so much and this is part of the music world he doesn't know everything about.
BTW, I have heard anything things about that cooking mag. It's very instructional and really teaches about food and why you cook a certain way. Recipes are fun but learning about food is what fascinates me most.

Haha, I too did a double take thinking Suzie got a book on Jazz! Now the cooking mag though, that one I can really see :) I instantly recognized it. I wonder if it's still $4.95,... likely not :)
