Photo: Night Time Feeding

 Jamie

I had a really hard day yesterday. I dedicated the entire day to making tech progress and for the entire day made no progress at all. There's a whole lot of learning in this jumbled mess, not only tech learning but me learning. It's been uncomfortable, frustrating and hard. Luckily the interloper showed up last night and cheered me up a bit. His visit, Justin's help and many guitar breaks really helped nourish me through this difficulty.

Whelp, I resisted it for probably around 2+ years, but I've not finally signed up for Netflix. And the first thing I watched was Star Trek, naturally. I was surprized that what felt the most different was the sound was better - my BluRay player has something in it that does that, which is pretty cool. Of course I spent a lot of time adding stuff to My List. It will be interesting to see how it goes!

Suzie

I spent the last couple of days working on a complicated Danish recipe that required lots of folding and and chilling of dough, almost as though I was making puff pastry. But then the recipe totally let me down. It confirmed to me why I think it is so important to have the best instructions possible and why my blog is different. I show people what to do and how to do it. And I am honest when a recipe pisses me off. Even if it is by Anna Olson!

Woohooo, Netflix! Yay to the inaugural show being Star Trek! I hope you find lots of goodies for you in there. And that's awesome about the sound. Very cool!

Oh, Suzie, that sounds so frustrating! All of that work! What a drag. Yay you for sharing the truth. I think Truth could be your middle name :)

Oh Jamie, that does sound like a rough day! I'm glad the Interloper showed up to make you feel better (super cool photo BTW) and that guitar and Justin helped get you through it.

Shannon, I am so super excited for you that you got Netflix! I love that you can watch Star Trek naturally now, I find that makes a big difference. You will have to let me know what gems you come across that I don't recognize.

Oh I love that! The Truth being my middle name. :) Thanks Jamie! Remember, Mercury is in retrograde so whether it is setting things up with cables or folding and slicing dough... things are extra complicated right now. That helps me feel better that it is less my fault when things go wrong.

Oh look at The Interloper and how much he has grown! I'm glad he along with music gave you a reprieve from a challenging day Jamie!

Wow, Suzie it sounds like the recipe was not all it was cracked up to be! I'm with you on clear instructions being the way to go :)

Netflix has been great so far, so much to explore and a lot that I've seen. I wonder what the first new thing I'll dive into will be!
