Jamie

I am just beaming! I couldn't be happier that Jinx has managed to get upstairs! To imagine that just a few weeks ago we found her on the floor, unable to stand or roll over, that the vet had basically said, "Take the weekend to say your goodbyes" and she has defied that completely! First she rolled and then she stood and then she walked and yesterday she tried the stairs so she could come see me. This morning she was at our bedroom door, back in her regular routine, and this afternoon she suddenly popped into the studio for a visit! I am just so relieved and full of love and joy.

Shannon

I'm continuing to work on getting back to my reading habits and I decided to finish up the short-ish book on my list: How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff, and wow, it may have been short but certainly wasn't light. I don't know why I associate those two things together, perhaps because it was short I thought it would be an easy read, and that isn't so. I literally feel like I need to recover from reading it, because the challenge in the book are so harsh. I need to think on it before sharing more, or figuring out who I would recommend it to.

Suzie

After three days of obsessively dealing with the dishwasher, we finally moved on clearing through stuff. For me the highlight was getting together the three oil heaters, hehehehe... We are thinking about selling some of the stuff at a flea market but so far, most of it is going to donations and Reg is doing amazing. He cleared out so much stuff yesterday, I was amazed and so proud of him.

Fantastic! That's so great you guys are making progress. I can only imagine how overwhelming the situation is. I can't wait to hear more about your plans.

What a spectacular picture Jamie! I can feel the love between you are Jinx, and I'm so glad that she defied the vets expectations and is really trooping through. Who would have thought early morning meows at the door could sound so good.

Wow, Suzie you and Reg are on a roll! Those oil heaters are so great, I hope you don't need them before they go! It must feel great to finally be working towards the move.

PS: Late Add from me!

Jamie, I am over the moon to hear that Jinx is doing so much better and that photo is one of the most beautiful images I have ever seen. :) I am so happy for you both.

Shannon, I am sorry to hear about that book having such a profound impact. That's hard. Books are powerful that way.

Reg ended up convincing me to keep one oil heater, in case where we move is chilly, LOL. But at least we are letting go of two. And yes Shannon, may need to use it before we leave.

I don't think a "vacation" has been more exhausting although then I remember staining the deck, that was rough too.
