Jamie

I so love this picture. It inspired me to include this calendar in my Christmas gift certificate purchases from Mom. Yesterday it inspired me to make huge progress on the studio. I was going absolutely crazy not having a calendar on the wall and I couldn't find this at all! And so I started digging, sorting, reorganizing and now all that's left to be put away are the books, one box of papers and one small box of "stuff". And this beautiful picture, is on my wall.

Darmok and Jalad, at Tanagra! I was so excited to see this episode (5.02 Darmok) of Star Trek: The Next Generation pop up in my re-watch yesterday, it's one of the ones that had a profound impact on me for the unique story it told of a race that speaks only in metaphor. I love it! And for once, it's the Federation that are scratching their heads not being able to understand as opposed to not being understood.

Suzie

We went out to get groceries yesterday but it was again, so cold I didn't want to take my camera out. This week's episode of Storage Wars Texas really made me laugh, Victor in particular with his evil Emperor impression.

Oh, a calender! What a smart purchase...I never thought of getting one from Amazon. I use small date-only ones, but having one to flip ever month is always nice to have for the awesome pictures. Actually, for a moment I thought that pic was of coffee Jamie! Which we can definitely choose between bitterness and openness.

Vic trying to go incognito. Seriously...he's so tall it's easy to spot him! I am really enjoying Storage Wars Texas, they are a great bunch of folks!

I love having a beautiful picture to look at each month - and I can't believe how often I glance over at the dates. It gives me a much better feel for the month!

Darmok and Jalad, at Tanagra! I love that. I can hear it in my mind as I read it! Last night Justin and I watched the one about the mischievous Okana ;)

I'm glad you got groceries, Suzie, especially with the storm coming. Food and TV seem like the right pace now!

Aha!! The crazy mischievous Okana! I always think of that one as the 'Han Solo' ep :)

Jamie, that calendar looks stunning and what a brilliant choice! I love it, totally suits you and your space.

Shannon, I know, it was so ridiculous, I was worried he had gone a bit nuts but oddly when he started reciting Star Wars I knew HE KNEW it was a big joke and I know, he's so tall! Too funny.

I've been waiting for you to come across the Darmok and Jalad, at Tanagra episode Shannon. I think that one had a profound effect on our family when we watched it and you're right, total role reversal for Star Fleet.

Thanks Jamie! The storm is coming tonight but Reg is out at guitar so I'm glad he will be home before our double whammie storm hits and that we have food!
