Jamie

The weather changed our plans yesterday and it was so nice to hang out and get cozy with Shannon and Gobo. We had a delicious dinner and treats for dessert and my, oh, my did we laugh watching a bit of Duck Dynasty. (It happened to be on when our show was finished) There's a lot about that show that will actually stay with me, including the wise words of one brother, after taking his SUV off-road and tearing up the mud, spinning out and speeding, laughing all the way: "When you see a truck at the side of the road, you'll know what happened: liberation!"

Shannon

Jamie was so sweet and *brought* sweets over last night, these divine cupcakes. Oh wow. I can still remember so clearly how awesomely they tasted, especially the caramel/coconut one. What a strange combination, that totally worked!

Suzie

I know you saw this yesterday Shannon but it's the only photo I took, LOL. It doesn't even show the steep parts at the beginning or the ending of this pseudo pedestrian path 'o death to my Superstore. I had to pick up my prescriptions and supplies for the weekend. Ugh, I can't wait for it to warm up just a little!

I'm so glad you liked the cupcakes, Shannon! That coconut one was quite a surprise - and totally delicious. I had so much fun hanging out yesterday.

Oh, Suzie, that's treacherous! I'm so glad you made it okay. I am also totally ready for the spring. Totally. (And every day I think I'm sure the interloper is too)

You know what's funny? With your picture I couldn't stop looking at the furniture van. That mural on the side looks almost like a trompe-l'œil, like the side is open and the furniture is really there, LOL!

Aw! Look at Mr. Man being so cute! It was so much fun to hang out yesterday Jamie and yes Duck Dynasty was very entertaining and oddly insightful. My favourite was "When I am detained... I don't panic.", and I had to think that how odd is it to be detained *so often* you have an end to that sentence. Oh, nelly... lots of giggles.

I'm so sorry that the ice is so bad there Suzie and I'm very happy you made it home okay. It's nowhere near that here but I still was crazy careful when out this morning and didn't even brave it yesterday!

I always wondered what it was about Duck Dynasty that made it so popular. Think I will check it out!

I just wish the had a real walkway for pedestrians. Sorry to hear you still are getting weather that is potentially treacherous, so glad Jamie came over with treats and wow, those cupcakes look great! And Gobo is adorable, as usual?
