Rewind: January 20, 2013

Jamie

Inspired by Suzie's birthday and the upcoming changes, I'm rewinding to a visit way back in 2008. On this cold day down at the beach, Suzie made a wish. Now, years later, it just might be coming true.

Shannon

With a certain birthday right around the corner I thought it would be perfect timing to share a rewind with Suzie's visit back in 2008 and the bizarre we went to by my place which had all kinds of creepy and crafty goodies. Such a fun trip, I remember it well :)

Kitchen in Victoria

Suzie

This was my kitchen when I lived on Vancouver Island. It was pretty darn tiny. This photo was taken before we got a dishwasher which helped give me some counter space! I couldn't stand in front of the oven door to get food out because it was so narrow, I had to stand to the side. Still, I made some of the best food of my life there and loved all that natural light. I do hope for a bigger kitchen than this when we move but I know I will be OK as long as I have light. Man, I was so happy in this kitchen and in our little PMQ. But it's time to say good-bye.

Yay!!! Thank you for that Shannon! I think of that bizarre all the time, it was the best. I am so glad we have that memory together and thanks for thinking of me. :)

You are so welcome Suzie! I had a lot of fun at the bizarre too, and was so surprized it was so close to me and was way cool!

I can't wait to see what your next kitchen is going to look like, and I think this one is one of the few I never saw for-realz. I'm sure you will make your kitchen always somewhere special :)

It was close to you, wasn't it Shannon! Yes, you never did see my PMQ kitchen although I know in comparison to some you have had it is quite large. Yes, I intend to have a very cool kitchen no matter where we end up! It's one of Reg's priorities too which means so much to me. Makes me feel a little less nervous about the big jump.

I was inspired by Suzie too. LOL, and we've even picked a pic from the same visit!

What a happy kitchen that is, Suzie. You can just feel it. The curtains are so cute! I know that you'll bring the Suzie the Foodie magic wherever you are. Maybe that's becoming a part of the story :)

Wow Jamie, I totally remember that moment and I think I remember that wish (fingers are still crossed).

I'm so glad the happiness of that kitchen comes through, I really loved it. All that natural light and looking out the windows made me so happy, not to mention the crazy-amount of food I made in there. Hey, the kitchens of Suzie the Foodie, I like that idea. I've had so many! I should have taken more photos.

Thanks Shannon! Wishing energy is always such a wonderful treat, thank you both!
