Jamie

Big progress in the Studio Refresh this weekend! After our paint missteps, we ended up with exactly the right colour. I'll be sharing that story on my blog soon. Justin  painted on Saturday and it looks so wonderful. Then Sunday we cleared everything out. I mean, everything. I'm attached to this 'bought at the auction" kitchen table but it's moving out and my old desk is taking its place. It takes up a lot of room so I thought I'd have to give up my grey chair by the window but I just couldn't do it! As a complete surprise to me, I've decided to give up a bookcase and keep the chair. I have no idea how I'm going to deal with that but I knew in my heart I had to keep the chair.

I've been catching up on some films recently and one of the ones I finally saw was Resident Evil: Retribution. And on Rogers On Demand it denotes the 'genre' as 'Canadian'. Because that's the first thing people thing about when they think 'Resident Evil'. I know they recent ones are, but I know I'm in the minority. Too funny.

Yesterday I actually got out of the house! Saturday we had the worst weather, couldn't even go out to walk to a new restaurant because we were falling on ice (no way we were driving). Sunday was better and I got out shopping and with Valentine's day coming up, so many cute heartsy items that I love. I got these stickers which I am going to try to turn into resin pendants, knock on wood.

That's hilarious about the 'genre' being Canadian. LOL. I'm glad you had a chance to catch up on some films!

The weather was crazy here too for some of the weekend. Quite the windstorm!

I'll look forward to hearing about the new restaurant when you get there. And yay to creative treats for your creative heart!

Wow, keeping the chair over the bookcase. I wonder how that will work, but going with your heart is always a good choice. The colour looks BEAUTIFUL and totally perfect. Way to go Jamie for working on it until it was right. What an adventure :)

That's so yucky it was too awful weather to go to a restaurant Suzie, but I'm glad you got to enjoy some hearts and Valentine's itme shopping! They are so much fun and I'm knocking on wood along with ya :)

It was sooo nice to catch up on some films!

Big changes Jamie! It's funny how those decisions can surprise us, the things we end up keeping and letting go. Love the colour, stunning! Yup, that's a Jamie colour story colour for sure.

Shannon, I wanted to like that Resident Evil movie more than I did although I loved her hair in it, LOL. I just love Mila in general. So funny it's "Canadian" in anyway. Always fun to catch up on movies. We saw The Blob on the weekend and I realized I can't believe that's one we didn't watch growing up. At least I can't remember it!

Man everytime I look at that picture Jamie, I am overwhelmed by how beautiful the studio looks. It's amazing.

Oh, Suzie, I can so see why this Resident Evil film didn't work for you. I find them pretty hit and miss but I do tend to find something to enjoy in them ...somewhere. Often it's the production design! lol!

omg, I was *just* looking for The Blob today... what timing is that? I've never seen it! So shocking! I hope you enjoyed it Suzie!

It's true, the studio is looking amazing! This was the first time RE was a miss for me but you're right, production design was awesome. And so were her boots, I want those boot!

No way, you were looking for The Blob?! Bizarre! What's even weirder is Mom has never heard of it before, let alone seen it. It has one of the funniest intro songs to a movie I have ever heard. Mostly because it's so silly and non-threatening.

Now I'm even more curious to see The Blob! It comes out in Criterion this March so I should really try and get a cheapee version in case they disappear!
