Jamie

This is cheating a little bit because it didn't happen yesterday but it didn't seem right to skip my first Life Book class. With my studio in disarray, I'm working at the kitchen table and I spent a lot of timing running upstairs for a pen and then running downstairs for a brush and then running upstairs for an eraser but even so it was wonderful. Our first assignment is to make our Fairy Art Mother. I had a wonderful time and will share her with you on stART! (I want it to be a surprise, hehe)

Shannon

I was so happy to have a treat of an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation yesterday, and one of my fave little characters of Alexander! He wasn't in it much but wow, I really love that little guy! It also had the awesome Klingon character Gowron and models could learn a thing or two from him about how to make the eyes 'pop'.

Suzie

I felt strong enough to do some yoga so I watched my favourite yoga guru Padma on the One Channel. She is a total mentor for me and Reg said the other day WHEN we go back to Vancouver I could take classes with her in person! Which freaked me out but in the most awesome way. This episode I learned about the Bundhi mind (sp?). The non-frenetic mind. The one that moves the body with purpose and without hesitation or stress. The mind that is at peace and calm. We did a breathing exercise which cleans the mind. Very cool! Again, shaky to get through it but I did! :)

I know! The Fairy Art Mother idea is sheer genius and I had a wonderful time creating her. Can't wait to share her with you!

Oh, my goodness, I could just see Alexander stomping along the minute you mentioned him. What a treat, Shannon!

Yay you for getting to some yoga, Suzie. That's so good. And wow, wouldn't it be awesome to take her class! I'm so visualizing you there already!

Bundhi mind sounds fantastic - and like something we could all use.

I saw that on my Google Reader that you had gotten to the Alexander era of TNG. I liked him too!

Can't wait to see her Jamie!

I'm already planning on taking classes with her. I've moved from shock and awe to... Yes!

OHH it's so exciting to see you get all geared up and take your first LifeBook class Jamie! How exciting! I love how much space there is on the table for ya there, and I can't wait to see you reveal your fairy art mother!!

OMG I was just thinking yesterday to myself "Who is the person Suzie loves that does Yoga on TV?" and here it is... Padma! I'm going to see if I get her show here, but way more awesome than that would be for you to take classes from her in person!!! Holy smokes! That's divine :)

I'm so glad Alexander was easy to see! It was hard to pick which of the awesome pics of him to use :)

That's too funny Shannon! Her show is on the One Channel and sometimes on multicultural channels too, at least in Vancouver. I hope you can see it. She is all about doing all of yoga, the physical and mental aspects. It's only a 30 minute show so it's just long enough to feel like you did a little work and learned a little bit without being overwhelming. She's a sweetie too. I love it when she shares her stories.
