Jamie

We're having a super lazy day here (Yay!) so I'm a bit behind in posting about our wonderful evening last night! Everything came together beautifully - even if I forgot the Brussels Sprouts, LOL! I has such a good time making the cake and it turned out delish! The company was wonderful and everyone helped in bringing the meal together. I am so thankful for my family, everyone who was there in spirit and in person. ((bighugs))

Shannon

Had a lovely Thanksgiving at Jamie's yesterday and I loved the colour story for the table, full of reds, oranges and yellows - lovely and harvesty, even dessert matched! It was a lovely evening and I even got to take some pictures, although adjusting to the new-to-me camera that Mom kinda lent me. I am very thankful to have such a wonderful, loving family.

Although it may not look like it, this is actually a bit of a Thanksgiving miracle. On Saturday the whole family showed up and chipped in and cleaned house. Reg and I even cleaned the kitchen ceiling!

OMG, I can see the cake! And the colour story is so warm and beautiful, I love it. I'm grateful you can take pictures now and I am so grateful that you all could get together and celebrate together. I was so there with you in spirit and you are invited to be with us in spirit when we have a late feast tonight. Turkey breast is in the crockpot as I type this!

Wow, Suzie that is so awesome that folks came by to help out and clean up! Having a clean home is definitely a part of the holidays I tend to forget til the last minute! Always learning to be had :)

Yay to camera-ness, Shannon! That's so wonderful. I'm so glad Mom could share that camera with you. And now you can share pics, yay!

I'm so glad you liked the harvest colour story. I was really thinking about the season and what differentiates Thanksgiving from Christmas (especially because so much of our menu is the same, hehe). I've decided that caramel is one of the flavours of the season - I think the cake helped convince me, hehe.

And Suzie, wow, how wonderful that everyone came together to help. That is a truly magical story, like a Thankgsiving Special :)
Wish we could help too. Sending logs of helping vibes ((hugs))

I really did love the colour story, and was very happy to help (especially when it's minding the gravy!). I wonder how many in-the-kitchen holiday picks we have! So lovely.
