Jamie
I had so much fun working on the blog for our new project yesterday. I'm realizing how I've gotten a little held back by working primarily on my business. I'm so much more cautious there. I think this experience will make me braver in trying new things, adjusting, finding the way - and that's exactly what I'm needing right now! stART has already had an amazing impact.

My terrible attempt to make Halloween Rice Krispy Squares. It all just started burning and scorching the pan. My energy really isn't in it this year! But I did make some other cookies that I think turned out so that's good.

Shannon and were talking about this Jamie on FB. I never was a part of making Rice Krispy Squares when it comes to cooking them, did you used to make them? Or Mom? They used to hurt my mouth which is why I didn't like them.

Oh, yeah, I totally made them. In fact, you're giving me a hankering for them right now. Uh-oh! And just after Shannon and I decided to make some caramel corn for Halloween!

It is one of those slow and low candy cooking things. You just stay patient while you do the marshmallow stuff and then you take it off the heat and just pour the Rice Krispies in and let them get coated. C'est tout!

Omg, now I totally want some. Though maybe the image of teeth hurting because they're so sweet will help me resist! hehe

I've just been realizing that this Willow Tree is so gently and magically guiding me to completing another Project 365 this year! So many of the pictures will already be gathered and in order. Awesome! (I'm making our awesome hand signal now, hehe)

That's so awesome that stART is helping you with your business Jamie! It's a good reminder that sometimes super focusing on one thing doesn't necessicarily make it move forward. The new blog looks amazing! I can't wait to start sharing and exploring!

I'm sorry to hear that the Rice Krispy Squares didn't go well Suzie. It really is a slow-and-steady one, I think I remember doing them in the microwave, especially for the marshmallows. I remember making them, I'm pretty sure with Jamie, I don't think Mom made them. They weren't a regular recipe to make like sugar cookies or those awesome cheese muffins though.

That's great our stART project is helping you to branch out a bit Jamie and let go, that's awesome!

Caramel corn?! Now that is fantastic.

Oh I didn't realize it was a low and slow approach with the Rice Krispies.

I wanted to a 365 too but my photos are hosted all over the place but I love that you will be able to go for it Jamie and that it might be easier this year.

I agree with Shannon, adore the look of the new blog and I'm looking forward to this project so much.

If I do it again, totally going to use the microwave. I heard that marshmallows can explode in there though so that's why I never considered it. I don't think Mom made either, I think it was all Jamie!

Thank you! Creating the new blog made me realize that I like getting in there and creating and tweaking and having flexibility.

I'm thrilled you guys like how it's turned out. Does that mean we're ready to stART sharing?

Yeah, low heat and constant stirring on the marshmallow part. I remember doing it in the microwave so that you could have little servings - like a cupful! I learned that from Carol! She used to do that for Rice Krispies and also chocolate drop quickies.

Hmmm... I'm trying to remember those cheese muffins... omg, yeah, I do remember those!

For the 365, even without turning it into a slideshow or anything, we totally have it here!Totally cool.

Leave it to Carol. So smart, practical and yummy and idea. I think I might just leave the squares alone but at least my Boo Berry cookies turned out!
