Shannon

I have a feeling all my pics this week will be for the readathon I'm doing! This was my first set of books that I dove into. I've already finished one (a romance novella described as Buffy-meets-Downton-Abbey which was okay), I'm about halfway through an illustrated retelling of Beowulf (kids books for the win!), and I the third I'm going to give a pass on. I'm feeling stronger about letting go of books I don't think I'll enjoy, especially with the restraints of a 1 week readathon! Let go and grab the next one. Here is hoping I find all winners to enjoy for Day 2!

Suzie

I made ladyfingers for the first time after we recorded stART. Couldn't find my piping bags anywhere and hurt myself in the process of tearing apart my kitchen and injured my... you guessed it, finger! I can tell you I was no lady when that happened. Ouch! Guess it's a good thing I ordered more bags recently with those new piping tips. I baked these for my drawing class tomorrow. Going to dip them in melted chocolate and add sprinkles. Fun! Had an awesome day chatting with you two today too. Thanks for all the support.

Buffy-meets-Downton-Abbey sounds like fun to me! I'm glad you are feeling OK about letting some books go. One book a week would be more than enough for me!

Oh Suzie I am so sorry to hear you hurt yourself looking for the piping bags. that really sucks! These look amazing (and I saw a pic of the finished ones... oh....ah!). I am so impressed but all the stuff you are making. It's extraordinary! I hope your class liked them (how could they not?). It was great to chat during stART - I has so much fun!!

Yeah, this 7 book in one week is insanity (although I am picking novellas, a play, a lot of people add graphic novels, etc). I really want to do it, but it might be too much for me! We'll see!!

Thanks! My finger is quite banged up but it looks like I'll keep the nail, LOL. Thought it was a goner.

What? Seven books a week? Holy cow! So you choose the books? That's good or else it would be so expensive. Thank goodness for library books!
