March 1, 2015: Random

Jamie

It was two years ago that Justin and I got our guitars and started on our learning journey. I actually find that a bit discouraging, like I wish we were further along for two years. I guess that means it's time to start practicing, LOL!

Shannon

Random cat pic! Took me a bit to get one where she wasn't moving, but I got it!

Suzie

Sometimes I forget how unusual our neighbourhood is. Outside a typical "Vancouver Special" (a style of house) there was this giant cement sculpture with an owl in the middle and he kind of scared me at first. I was out on a beautiful day taking myself on an Artist Date. Oh and a cat in the hood actually came up to say hello! He was black and so super warm from the sunshine. It was a good day.

Awwww, I'm sorry to hear that it feels discouraging Jamie. I think it's amazing that you are 2 years into the guitar journey!

I always think owl statues are real owls! That one looks super cool. Yay to you for going on an artists date Suzie! That is super awesome, cat visit and all ...maybe that is The Universe talking!

Late add from me.

Considering everything you two have been through in the last two years, I think it's amazing you are still at it! Let's hope this year there is much practicing and musical blossoming that happens.

Shannon, that's a fantastically clear photo of Jinx which I know is hard to get. Well done!

This owl was a little smaller than most so I really thought he was real too, little guy scared me a bit so he was doing a good job. I hope the Universe is talking Shannon! And going to a different Starbucks had definitely better results too.

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. I appreciate it. When I think how hard it was to even make a sound when we started, I have to say there's progress.

I love that pic of Jinx, Shannon!

I can see how that owl would surprise you, Suzie! Lol, but you're right - that must mean he's doing his job!
