Jamie

Yesterday I got to go over to Shannon's and hang out with both her and Mr. Man. We had a great time catching up, getting some stuff done and watching Project Runway! We met up a bit early this week so that I could get home and start my weekend meditation retreat with the Open Heart Project practitioner program. I've never done anything like this. There will be time for meditation, rest and writing. I hope it will be rejuvenating and that the good energy will do a bit of mojo clearing at our place!

I filmed my velouté video yesterday and started off with a big screw up. But then I said screw it, just do it Suzie! And I did! And the soup was velvety and beautiful. Made me rethink how I look at chicken entirely. Now I can understand the comfort factor. So I now just have to edit it and lesson 2 will be done. No idea what lesson 3 will be yet. How exciting!

Awww what a cute picture of Mr. Man! He loves your bag, one day I bet he will succeed and get in it! Thanks so much for your help yesterday, it made such a difference and it was fun to hang out at my place.

I love that you didn't let a screw up throw you off your chicken and now you have rethought chicken! I am so curious to see lesson 2!! Way to go :)

That is a cute picture of Gobo! So glad you both got to hang out together. Jamie, are you going away to a retreat? Or is this a meditation retreat at home? It sounds interesting and I am glad you are giving yourself some time, wherever it is.

Thanks Shannon! I was immediately discouraged and angry with myself but I figured it out. I hope it's an interesting enough video since it's mostly shots of a pot and my hand stirring. Makes me appreciate cooking shows a lot, trying to do this on my own.

You are so good with the videos, I'm sure you will make it interesting with segues or tips, .. it really makes me understand the flow and structure of shows more to think about it!

Thanks Shannon! I am going to try and do just that and then maybe it will be more entertaining. Oh good! I'm glad it helps. It's sure a steep learning curve for me but it's also fun.
