Jamie

So... how do you take a picture of the day when your pipes backed up and flooded part of your basement? Putting bleach on a black rag, that's how! Who knew you could get a pretty little batik moment in the midst of piling, cleaning and throwing out stuff from your basement? The good news is that we had someone in last night who was able to fix the problem. Phew!

Shannon

Panda time! I having fun playing a little Panda in WoW, although haven't quite decided which class to play... shammy...rogue... warrior?  Decisions, decisions!

Suzie

Yesterday I had this feeling I should go to my thrift store. Turns out they were having a tax-free day and I got some really cool stuff for very cheap. Recently I went through and editing down on Pinterest "My Style" Board to only have up what I currently do not have a lot of in my wardrobe but want to manifest. In one word? Character!

So that was my aim and I think I did well. When I saw this pink studded plastic belt for $1 I had to have it for Hal-Con and my Hexed costume. I love the hat too and so did the ladies at the store, they insisted I buy it. My basic wardrobe is not very exciting but if I treat it as the basics for a costume and accessorize appropriately, it is actually fun. Clothing fun? It's a first for me!

Whoa, Shannon, you make a HOT panda! Who knew that was even possible, hehe. Have fun whichever class you choose!

And speaking of hot, great pics, Suzie! Look at that colour story too: black, grey, pink. I love the cuff! Can't wait to see you in these.

You guys are inspiring me to have a style day :) That definitely would have been better than backed up pipes, hehe.

Oh Jamie, that is awful! Not the batik design (which is very cool) but that that happened in your basement!!! I am so glad you got someone in who could fix the problem. Oi, what stress!

And Shannon, wow!!! You look incredible as a Panda! I will be curious to hear what you choose and which way you align. Reg hasn't made a new character yet but I might, that looks like fun.

Thanks for noticing the colour story Jamie, yes, just a little bit of colour and it pops, doesn't it?I hope you get to have some stylish fun to wipe away that icky experience.

Thanks, Suzie. One thing I have to say is I felt pretty proud of us and how far we've come as homeowners. We dealt with the problem, called in help and got it sorted. A few years ago we would have been in a panic, not known who to call and been stressing like mad!

We've come a long way, baby!

I'm so glad the plumbing got fixed last night Jamie! What a stress that can be but ye-haw for dealing with it! Way to go :)

Awesome clothes Suzie and got something for your Hexed costume to boot. I think it's great you followed your intuition and ended up with tons of fun stuff!

So far I'm digging the rogue panda, and I went horde. I just like horde a lot better these days, although I still have lots of alliance toons too. I've already leveled out of little panda land!

You did awesome Jamie. You kept a cool head and got it fixed. Rock on!

Thanks Shannon and that's exactly what I am going to do. Come up with our own Hexed character for the con and it's become a lot of fun.

Rogue Horde, love it. Reg's goblin is one. Oh crap, we're supposed to be skyping!
