Jamie

What a joy! Saturday I spent the entire day at a painting workshop with Shaun McNiff, one of the founders of the discipline of Expressive Arts Therapy. The central theme of the workshop was that painting is a movement practice. No wonder I loved it! I left feeling inspired on so many levels and completely, utterly spent.

Shannon

Art Day! I deviated from the assignment in medium, but tried to keep the spirit of the work. Big thank you to Jamie for saying that it looked done, because...I totally would have kept going but it feels very done right here.

Suzie

Reg and I actually had a social life this weekend, including going to a wedding reception downtown. It was good to get a break from the house.

How wonderful, Suzie! And what a great picture - it feels like springtime. I'm ready for that!

It really was right up my alley, Suzie. I loved it so much. It's got me thinking a lot about what else I can do with this!

Oh me too Jamie, spring would be so nice!

Wonderful! I can't wait to see what develops from the class. :)

Sounds like an amazing experience Jamie, I love the idea of thinking of painting as a movement practice. That is absolutely delightful :)

Woohoo for wedding receptions! I hope you had a good time, and enjoyed those cupcakes - yum!

Another late add from me.

I love your art day project, Shannon. It looks so evocative and, I keep thinking, really filmesque.

Wow Shannon, that's gorgeous! So glad you're enjoying art day.

Reg and I actually danced at the reception to, get this, "Celebration!" I kept thinking hippopotamus the whole time. It was fun to dance, I miss it.
