Jamie

Yesterday I went out to get my haircut and then took myself out for coffee and a bit of a creative walkabout. I stopped in my tracks when I saw this series of paintings being prepped at the Bata Shoe Museum. About a decade ago, I became obsessed with creating exactly these kinds of works. Shannon has one of my pieces and I did a ton of them in a sketchbook. They were really fun explorations for me and when I saw these pieces I felt this deep sense of affirmation of my creative self. It reminded me to trust my creative instincts completely.

I decided to give my dollar-store fish calender a makeover, and made my own image for May. Happy May!

So glad that despite a turn in the weather, Reg and I walked down to the new frozen yogurt shop for their big opening. It was awesome and Jamie, we got strawberry and pineapple like we got at that place we used to go to in the Eaton Centre. I think a little sweet outing like this is something we really needed.

Wow, Jamie - what a powerful, and probably a bit unnerving, experience to see something so like what you were doing ages ago out there right now. Follow your instincts, yes, follow your instincts and trust them completely.

Wow, a frozen yogurt shop - that is so fun Suzie! I hope it was an awesome snack and I'm sure it was great to go for a stroll!

Late add from me.

Jamie, I have always wanted to go to that museum and love the display! So you love pixilation art? I guess it was called something else back them. Makes me think of the game Minecraft, people dress up in costumes inspired by the pixelate art. Oh man, that sounded uber geeky.

Shannon, that cover totally ROCKS! I am so impressed. I thought at first it really was the calendar's cover!
