Jamie

We had a great time out celebrating at David & Sylvia's traditional New Year's Eve Eve party! It was a treat to see their newly renovated space and to catch up with everyone. Hugs abounded!!

In a mad dash to sum up and finish off the year before the year finishes, I spend a lot of yesterday vlogging and got 3 book centric vlogs done which of course was way too much. But that's what happens when I've not vlogged in a while! At least when I use my phone I don't have to edit or compress them. I was happy to get these done though, books and really has really meant a lot to me in 2014 and I really felt strongly about summing it up and sharing the experiences of the year. I hope people like them!

Suzie

It was one of the last days of Michael's Boxing Day Sale and I convinced Reg to take me to Michaels. I know he was wary of doing so but I brought my puffer and discovered a Michaels that's actually quite close to us with a huge parking lot so we were off. I got yarn for hat-making but I also really wanted a keepsake box for the things I have from Mom. Reg found this one and I knew it was it! I inherited two peacock shirts from mom and they always remind me of Vancouver Island because of Hatley Castle and Mom and I had such a good visit when she came there. I think Mom also really taught me a lot about embracing the beauty of colour. I am so glad I found such a special box to honour things that remind me of Mom.

Wow, that is a lot of vlogging but way to go! Love your nail colour in the video Shannon and your nails look gorgeous. I just took a quick peak to see what it looks like to video with your phone. Are you looking at the monitor as you are filming? I am glad you found a way that works for you.

I think it's great you got out to Michaels (and that there is one close..woohoo!). And you really picked a gorgeous keepsake box, what a lovely idea Suzie. I think it's so nice to have some that reminds you of Mom to keep keepsakes from her. Really wonderful.

I really like that nail colour too! It feels icy blue and wintery fun. With the phone I have you can take videos facing yourself and you see what you are filming, you can also take videos of what is ahead of you. The phone has 2 cameras, one for each view. The facing-yourself camera isn't as good, but it's well good enough for what I need.

Thanks Shannon. I filled the box yesterday and feel so much better knowing everything is in a special spot that I can go to whenever I want.

It's a killer colour for nail polish Shannon, I love it. Oh I see, didn't realize you had such choices with recording via the phone. Cool and thanks for explaining that!

Oh, and Shannon, I wanted to say I love that picture of you. You look beautiful and I could totally see you in a certain hair style. I'll see if I can find a pic. Well, LOL, it's just like how it looks in the photo.

Looks like an awesome party at the New Years Eve Eve fete Jamie! What a treat to get to see their new space too, woohoo.

Awww, Thanks Jamie! I'm glad you like the picture, and oddly...I totally think I know the picture you are referencing! I do feel pretty good about the vlogs but I still want to do a few more wrap ups...even though we are into the new year already, hehe.
