Jamie

We had our Canada Day dinner on Sunday and it was such a treat - a very Suzie the Foodie inspired event, including this awesome ice cream. You can see the Maltesers in there, hehe.

Shannon

It was exciting to see all of the celebrations for Canada 150 | Sesquicentennial this weekend. I really appreciated that the CBC Livestreamed a lot of the celebrations across the country and aired the evening stuff at Ottawa and..well.. a lot of places! It was also really amazing to see one of, if not the last, broadcast with Peter Mansbridge on Canada Day. The CBC put an amazing tribute up recently that I really enjoyed as well. I am going to miss seeing him on the CBC.

Went to an art show that focused on performance including this demo (which I did not really get) and then Canada Day celebrations downtown this weekend. Crazy! Today was a rest day. Very much needed.

That's so cool you went to an art show that had performances! Sometimes things can be more engaging when they don't make sense. I'm glad you got out to some of the Canada Day festivities! And got rest in too :)

It is awesome that you can watch all the celebrations going on Shannon and I agree, just won't be the same without Peter Mansbridge.

I loved watching the celebrations too. It was beautiful to cross the country in that way. It was very moving seeing Peter Mansbridge's last day. He is such a presence!

Wow, Suzie, that looks fascinating. Sounds like a rest day was well-earned and much needed!
