Jamie

With the weather really cold and the post-holiday season in effect, it was time for some super delicious and super healthy soup - Tuscan vegetable and bean to be precise. We were missing the pesto but it was still a yummy way to warm up on a cold and dark night.

I didn't end up using this pic, but it was a possible thumbnail for my first ever Words, Words, Words! video. Thank you both for watching and commenting, and oh my ... how did I not remember that Rikki Tiki Tavi was a mongoose! Too funny. Now I'll remember!! It was quite a stretch for me to do this one, and I went through several recording attempts to get to this one. Even though it was hard to admit some things (prose!) and I totally mispronouced sesquicentennial, I am really glad I did it. Thank you both for your support!

Reg and I braved the elements and took public transit to see Hidden Figures which was so good! I forgot that the cat cafe Catfé was in the same building. I couldn't go in because it would have killed Reg of course but to finally see it was exciting! I follow them on FB and love seeing the cats get adopted. One day... Although it really is about adopting cats and not having coffee hanging out with cats. Still, very cool.

That's cool that you guys braved the elements. What is Hidden Figures? When I first heard about cat cafes I had no idea they were really focused on adoption. I imagine that changes the vibe completely.

And I know! A famous mongoose! I had a feeling there was (at least) one out there, Jamie to the animal rescue!

It's a movie about the black women who worked at NASA back during the space race. Yes, it's all about people going to the cafe to find a cat, not hang out with them. So probably no foodie story there.

OH yes, I have heard of Hidden Figures. I'm so glad you liked it Suzie!

Oh I must have missed your pic Jamie. That soup was yummy! So wonderful to have super yummy and delicious recipes, especially when winter has arrived!
