Jamie

This season I am trying to loosen up my schedule so that I have more time both to drink in inspiration and to express my artist's heart. I started by going to the AGO and experiencing the Mystical Landscapes exhibit for the second time. I went despite the cats waking us up at 3:00. I went despite going to the gym for 6:30 only to discover it doesn't open until next week. I went despite the rain. And it was wonderful.

Shannon

You know those resolutions that can come back year after year? One of mine for the past several years is defining words. I haven't stuck to that one in a while (or, ever) but I think I'm going to pick it back up again this year. I was inspired to do this because a book I bought second hand had a bunch of translations in it from the occasional word into French. Now, I don't think I'd be as daring as to mark up an actual book, but I can not them elsewhere... like my composition book! And given one of the words I had was mongoose, I decided to draw some mongooses. And it *is* mongooses (not mongoosi), I know because I looked it up! Woot I feel smarter already.

Suzie

Time for something silly here! I had gone out yesterday to pick up supplies and today made a Thai coconut soup that was out of this world delicious. I thought this accidental googly eyed Newfie dog was hysterical.

I sure do know those kind of resolutions, Shannon! Yay you for making a start - and for discovering and drawing mongooses. Awesome!

Yum, Thai coconut soup sounds awesome, Suzie - and lol, I can't even quite understand that funny dog :)

Yay for the AGO and art Jamie! You are so out there seeing and doing, I love it. So inspiring.

Shannon, I love that you pay such attention to words and am curious, what is mongoose in French? LOL. Great pictures too!

I thought the dog looked like it had googly eyes, LOL. This is what cabin fever does... Maybe I'm just going insane?

I love that you went to the gallery despite all the despites Jamie. What a trooper! Sometimes I think it's days like that when it's the MOST important to get out there and do stuff, be inspired and express ourselves. Man, you are going to have a lot to talk about on stART!

Omg, Suzie that picture is hysterical! I love it. Wow, I initially just saw he googly eyes but now that I see the nose, that's extraordinary! What great noticing.

I'm glad you both like the word-i-ness! And I've not clue what mongoose is in French, I think just the one language will keep me busy enough!!
