Jamie

Happy New Year! Well, the first day of the new year was actually rather lovely. I made some pink clouds for Carla's new year-long class, did some journaling and some tidying and even took time to play online with Justin and Shannon! It's feeling like a good transition into 2017.

Shannon

It's a new year! So exciting! And it feels like the last day of holidays, as this whole last week I could barely tell what day of the week it was but today although it didn't feel like Sunday I can sense tomorrow is Monday. Here is to an awesome 2017 for everyone!

Suzie

Was hoping 2017 would start a little less stressful but nope. I feel like our kitchen ceiling, just hanging out with everything cracking around me. Took down all the decorations. Earliest we have ever done that. Did the holiday ever really begin?

Shannon, I'm definitely feeling that transition too. I hope that this will be an awesome 2017!

Oh, Suzie, I'm sorry things are off to such a rough start and that you don't feel like you got any holidays. Maybe now is a great time to take a break and recover. It looked like you were super busy. I hope that you had some fun and that 2017 is a gentler year for you.

How lovely Jamie!!! It's so pretty and what a great beginning for 2017. What game did you play?

Shannon, I am so messed up with what day of the week it is too, LOL.

Thanks Jamie. It's been really rough. Getting caught in that snowstorm was such a nightmare and we're still have major pest issues. I really hope the year starts to improve. Vancouver is caught in a cold snap now and I'm imprisoned due to winter all over again.

Sounds like an awesome way to start the year Jamie! Journalling, tidying, art and gaming! Those are things I would like to do everyday! Well, truth be told, maybe not tidying... ;)

Oh that's rough Suzie about the ceiling. Did you talk to your landlord? Did you want to take the decorations down so early? Here's to thinks turning around for ya.

Thanks, Suzie :) We played Rift and had a great time. I'm so sorry to hear the pests are still an issue. That is so unnerving. I know you guys have worked so hard on that too. What a thing to have to deal with over the holidays!

LOL, Shannon, yes, I can see how the "one of these things is not like the others" would be tidying.

Is Rift an online game?

I have been in touch with the landlord, he is going to be getting guys to tarp the ceiling until things warm up and they can put on a new roof.

Wow you are goig to get a new roof Suzie? I hope it gets warm soon!

Yup! So glad I am no longer a home owner. They can't give us a new roof until the spring and they can't tarp the roof to protect in the meantime while there is snow on it which means... Nothing is going to happen for a while. Our landlord is going to come and check it out today though. Right now it's just paint falling down but we're nervous about using the overhead lights.
