Shannon

I realized I wasn't putting my blanket together, and decided to remedy that! Because it's an eyes-on job, watching a show wasn't working (even re-watching Star Trek!) and I considered podcasts but I'm way behind on those so I dove into something I usually avoid: Audiobooks. The library has tons, and most I found you can hear a sample of the reading which made all the difference! I realized I'm super finicky on the voices on many levels, and I wanted to try it with something I wasn't terribly invested in which lead me to pick a British suspense/mystery novel. Totally not my normal gig, but rockin' accent on the narrator and certainly a genre I'm less familiar with. Let the stitching together continue!

Suzie

We were supposed to go to the Christmas market downtown to look for a new Christmas tree but didn't quite make it but at least Reg was able to put up our outdoor wreath. I love that despite the light being cool, the contrast with the red door makes it look so warm and Christmasy!

Shannon, that is genius! Most people I know who listen to audio books drive but doing that while knitting is so smart! I am glad you found a system that works. Yay!

Great solution, Shannon! Hope you enjoy both! I'm so looking forward to seeing the completed blanket!

What a wonderful wreath, Suzie. I can't believe it lights up!

The ribbon has LED wire in it and is battery-operated so we just wrapped it around the wreath and voila! I have always wanted a wreath with lights.

Oh, I actually have a string that's battery operated! What a cool idea. Maybe I'll try it out!

I love that wreath Suzie! It's so beautifully bright! What a wonderful way to dress up the house and celebrate the season. And a brilliant way to make one light up, so clever.

I've been enjoying working on the blanket with the audiobook. I might be a great key to success on finishing knitting projects :)
