Jamie

It's all about the garden these days! I had such a great response to my last garden tour that I thought I'd do another one. It was crazy to see how little I knew about the plants that are along the side of the house! It inspired me to find out more and to invite people to identify a plant or a plant solution if they had one. It was totally fun to make this video and I just might make these all summer!

Shannon

I playing along with Index Card A Day, a 61-Day, 61-Card challenge and I've decided to show videos of creating them. Because I'm all about the videos these days, hehe. It took a bit to figure out how to rig up the camera (huge thank you to Jamie for lending me a tripod!). The colours don't read totally true, but I actually had a lot of fun doing it was it was really cool to share doing some art this way, and being able to talk through the thought process (when I have a thought process! I've made a playlist for the vids and I really hope that this will be fun and informative! So far, it is!

Suzie

Spent the day once again preparing the house for a viewing (a second-viewing actually) and made my version of Subway cookies. But! They didn't show up. Might be coming today? Who knows. Ugh, the long waiting game. Also: what a pain in the butt it is to bake in a kitchen with everything hidden away!

What a lovely offering, Suzie. Perhaps the house gods enjoyed them anyway and are working their mojo behind the scenes!

Shannon, so exciting that you've cracked the nut of making those kinds of videos. I can't wait to watch. In fact, I'm going to go do that now!

That's awesome Jamie! I look forward to watching the video and seeing what is poking its head up out of the earth.

Totally loving the index cards Shannon and I gotta figure out how you did that tripod.

Hey, whatever works! Next time? Maybe I'll make tarts, LOL.

I love this image Jamie! How lovely of you to share your garden with your viewers! It's so funny, I didn't notice you not remembering the plant names - but then again, I wouldn't be best person to know them anyway!!

That's so sweet that you baked cookies for the viewing Suzie. I'm sorry they didn't show up. But I bet the cookies found a good home :) Yum, yum!

I'm so glad you are both enjoying the Index Card a Day videos! They are a lot of fun to make now that I got the tech sorted. Suzie, Just put the tripod on the laptom (while closed), it's a little front-heavy, so I just put a string on the back leg and tied it around something to stabilize it. I might get better at figuring it out to not need the string. OR... I might now! hehe.

You put the tripod ON the laptop? While it's closed? Oh man, I still can't "see it" in my head but don't worry Shannon, that's just me, LOL.

It's a *small* tripod. like 6 inches high. Sorry the explanation didn't help much. Sadly it's a hard thing to share visually as... um... camera is in use at the time and therefore can't take a picture!
