Jamie

Yesterday was, for the most part, an incredibly productive and wonderful day! I worked on the Full Frost Moon dreamboard workshop and headed out to film the welcome video in this wonderful spot. It was just perfect when this white cat wandered by; I thought s/he represented the frost to come! The downer in the day was some computer issues that slowed everything down to a halt! Luckily Justin was able to eventually figure out a solution and I was back in action again!

I finally figured out where "My Favourite Genres" in GoodReads is. The odd thing is, these are the ones they picked for me, based on the books on my lists. Some make sense but... travel? comics? suspense? All very confusing. I had fun picking the ones that actually ARE my faves. Oddly, I don't think of books in terms of genre that much, but this good me wondering what is considered a "classic" and that sucked me down the rabbit hole of Wikipedia big time! I might ask for some advice on that one.

Suzie

Yesterday was customer appreciation day at the thrift store by the doctor's office I "applied" for. I wanted to see how long it would take me to get there. I walked quickly and got there in 15 minutes! I could not believe it. I ended up spending at least an hour and a half there looking over everything. Their prices are amazing and everything was half off so I went a little crazy, I admit. I can't remember having that much fun shopping since we all went to the church auction together. The walk home took longer (more hills to climb than go down) but I can do it. Yay me!

Oh, that's wonderful on all counts, Suzie! And what an adorable recipe box. It really does feel like an auction find :) Yay you!

What a beauty Jamie! So delightful that a white cat came out to play while you were working on the full Frost Moon, that is so fortuitous. And BOO to tech woes. Lots of those last week.

YAY for thrift store shopping, especially at 50% off and a walk away, that is amazing. I love that recipe box Suzie, did you end up getting it?

Late add from me.

What a beautiful cat! And perfect time although that so sucks about computers woes Jamie.

Shannon, that's so weird, I wonder what it was that made them think you were into comics and travel? I'm glad you can tweak it, maybe that will help.

No, I didn't buy the box because I thought to myself, I never use those cards. Of course I realized after getting home and looking at the photo, I could have used it for a million other things! LOL.

I did a double take when I looked at it, Shannon. I was like, what, no sci fi? But when you said that's what they picked for you I was like, "Ooooh!!" Fascinating to get that kind of feedback.

Lol, I missed that you didn't actually buy that box. It's so true that you could use it for anything. I'm sure there will be another treasure when you go back. And I get the distinct feeling you'll be going back often.

I add a lot of books to my to-read list for the Those Books Exploration, but even so...comics and travel are not really there, and scifi should be! I'm glad I rectified it.

So true the recipe box could be used for other things. Maybe it will be there on your next visit to the store Suzie!
