October 23, 2014

Jamie

Yesterday was a very intense day. Everything slowed down as the events at Parliament Hill took over. I found it hard to concentrate on anything until it was clear (as clear as it could be) that the active events had drawn to a close. This was a moment in our history, a difficult one we will always remember. In the evening, Justin and I went to hear a series of speakers on the topic of Creativity & Failure after Michelangelo. It opened the door to an interesting conversation and a topic I'm sure I will continue to consider and write about.

Shannon

I got stumped on whether to post a pic today, and decided not to. The events yesterday were so disturbing, I didn't want to put anything to mark it up but I also didn't want to ignore it. What a day.

Suzie

After yesterday's disturbing events, I took the day off blogging and Reg drove me to a clinic that is accepting patients. I had to drop off what felt like an application form. Right beside it was this thrift store that even sold plants and crafting supplies! I hope it is a good sign. I like the area and I may actually be able to walk there from our place, in good weather. Fingers crossed!

Clearly we were all deeply impacted by yesterday's events. I can feel it.

Suzie, I'm so glad that you're in process of getting a doctor. I hope s/he is great for you. I think the thrift store must be s a great sign. It's awesome they sell plants and stuff for crafting too! That sounds like a great place to check out.

Yesterday was horrible. I was so in shock, I just didn't know what to do. Which is why I decided to go find a healing during such a day of violence and trauma.

I am glad you got out to the AGO for a talk Jamie and look forward to hearing about it.

Shannon, I can totally understand not putting up a photo. I find that very symbolic.

Love and light to you both.

I'm amazing how everything can just stop when something like this happens.

I'm curious to hear more about the speakers discussions on Creativity and Failure, that's such an interesting subject. You totally could have been a speaker there Jamie.

I wish you all the best in your application at the clinic Suzie, and I think it's a great sign to be near a thrift store, I don't think I've seen one with plants before. That's lovely.

Thanks Shannon! If I end up buying some plants, I am totally going to get some there. :) It's weird being plant-free.
