Jamie

One of the things I'm trying to do right now is dial it right down. It's clear that every aspect of my life has been overtaxed for quite a long time and so I need to let myself rest and renew. Yesterday, even though it was quite chilly, I curled up on the deck for some popcorn, a good book, and even 10 winks or so. It was just what I needed.

Shannon

Really odd, I already added this but it POOFED.  Anyhow. Yesterday I tried using YouTube's video editor.  It was not very intuitive and adding some pics to a video too way too long.  I feel very committed to my decision to not spend hours at the computer, so this will not be something I'll keep doing.  I'm sure over time I could work it faster, but for now I would rather make marker-filled index cards to share, they are much more fun to create even if it's a less polished effect.

I am trying to pace myself when it comes to getting the house ready. I really have to. One thing that is very helpful about painting is during the time I used to call Mom, I am usually doing something to fix the house at the time, usually a little painting. It reminds me of you painting the paper plates Jamie. For me it helps me feel productive and lightens the pain of a ritual that no longer exists. At this rate though, we are probably going to have to eventually call in professionals but for now, I will continue my afternoon painting therapy.

That sounds like the perfect way to relax and recover Jamie. Good for you for taking such good care of yourself. And yay to popcorn outside!

Way to go for dialing it down Jamie, that's feeling like a common theme these days and I'm happy to partake in it myself. Love that flowerpot btw!

I'm glad the painting can serve as therapy Suzie, and that you can do it at a much more reasonable pace. I'm sensing we are all trying to do that these days!

Accidental late-add from me.

So, it wounds like we're all on a theme to try to keep the stress/effort/energy levels down as much as possible. That sounds like a very good plan all around!

I haven't done much with the YouTube editor other than trimming and annotations and that seems to be pretty easy. That's too bad that adding pictures and such is a hassle. Love your idea though of just, you know, showing the pictures!

Suzie, I'm amazed by how much you've done. That's so good to be keeping focused and getting things done during that time on your schedule. That sounds super smart, Suzie.

Outdoor popcorn is GOOD! And that planter is one from Mom's balcony :)

Oh yes, I like adding annotations to videos - I can get that to work but this youtube.com/editor is like...way to hard for me.

I'm up for keeping things low key these days, that's for sure! I feel like I shouldn't even have a !, hehe.
