September 18, 2013

It was a very full day yesterday! The day started with the second in a series of our Power Picnics. Chris has created such a beautiful creative space for around-the-table work like this. Then I came home and chatted with each of you for the podaversary celebration next week. Thank you so much for being an important part of yesterday - in so many ways!

I didn't take too many pictures yesterday, but I love this one of the cat on the cards.  Sure...I put down my tarot cards for a moment and the kitty decides to snuggle up on them. Sigh.  I'll take it as a good sign.

I thought the former crafts room was done. I took off all the tape, got out out my crafting box from the closet... only to discover that the walls need a second coat of paint. One was too thin! And then all hell broke loose yesterday. Little things that ended up curling me up into a little ball, totally overwhelmed. The moral of the story? Don't paint a room during the darkness of a tropical storm.

Oh man, it looks nice and everything but doesn't feel the same anymore.

Oh, Suzie I am sorry to hear that the room felt done but isn't. I'm not sure what happened there (or otherwise, definitely feels like ther is more) but that totally sucks. I hope some rest helped soothe that over.

Late add from me.

Oh Shannon, that is adorable! It's like a kitty blessing! Mr. Man loves to lie on different textures, doesn't he?

Thanks Shannon. It was pretty crushing and the resulting chaos overwhelming but hopefully we can add another coat and get my room back in working order.

That's the first thing I thought too - a kitty blessing! I agree that's got to be a great sign. It's certainly a great photo!

Oh, Suzie, I'm so sorry that things have been so hard and that the crafts room is going to take another coat of paint. It's so weird to see the room become more neutral. Though you have a lot of "natural" in your space, one thing Suzie isn't is neutral ;)

Oh, and late add from me. I would have been on time if it weren't for 10 retakes of this morning's video!

It was so awesome to chat with you yesterday Jamie, and it was so much fun to turn the tables and as you questions for the podoversary!

What a lovely space! And yay to us all getting to chat and celebrate with you Jamie.

Isn't the room weird looking now because it's so normal? I can't believe the difference. Yes, it's pretty crushing to realize it isn't done but I'll get there. I used to be OK with neutral colours but now lately.

10 retakes?!
