Jamie

Who knew we were going to have such a great time packing yesterday! We had time for chatting, drinking tea and even singing in between packing up boxes and turning hard decisions into a game show! And when we went out to pick up dinner, it was a veritable parade of cats! This guy had a sweetness that had me sneaking in a Dog in the Hood photo too!

Shannon

It was so awesome to have Jamie's help packing yesterday, getting the last of the movies packed and the almost last of the books packed.  One thing I didn't keep was this Grammar Guide that I had to buy for College English.  I *still* resent having to take that class, but tossing this book might be the first step in letting that go!

Suzie

I claimed yesterday as a "Me Day" and had a $20 budget. I went to the thrift store, bought a lovely quilted fall jacket, this amazing embroidered skirt and apparently a donut pan. I am realizing more and more, I love clothing with a touch of whimsy and/or character. Otherwise I am bored. And I am apparently going to learn how to make baked donuts. I took myself out to a free lunch at McDonald's but the long, long walk home was too much for me. I got all dizzy and felt horrible afterwards. That traditional Latvian optical migraine hit and I was a mess. I still had fun researching on YouTube though and felt better after I had some chips so low blood pressure was probably part of it too. What a crazy day.

I love how you managed to get a Dog in the Hood along with all the cats! It was a lively day for animals that's for sure, and a great day for packing. I had a great time and it was really nice to go through things and make the best of it. And SING in the middle of it all!

Late add from me. :)

I wonder what Suzie got up to yesterday!

Sounds like yesterday was an extremely fun AND productive day. How awesome is that? Shannon, if you want that book to go to a good home we would love it but if it's easy to just toss it, GO FOR IT! I love that there is a token dog picture, hehe. Lucky you to see so many animals, that must be a good sign.

Late add from me! It was quite a day Shannon!

Oh, Suzie, that sounds like a day of highs and lows. The skirt is beautiful and I'll be so curious how the donuts turn out! Yay you for claiming a "me" day. I'm sorry to hear that it ended with you feeling so unewll.

That picture captures that moment perfectly, Shannon! Way to clear something that holds so much resentment!

I think the book is already gone Suzie :( I never opened it outside the like, second class. I'm sure there are many better ones out there - but glad to hear you are still grammatically inclined :)

It's so hard when me-time becomes too-much time. I'm glad you declared it though, and got some awesome stuff just for you - yay Suzie! And a free lunch, that's awesome too. I'm sorry to hear you got a migrane though, not sure what a Latvian-specific one is (you mean like Mom's perceptual ones?) that sounds like no fun. I'm glad it cleared up and you could do some fun research.

You know how sometime you (Jamie), Auntie Laima and I go through dizzy spells? Mom would get perceptual migraines but for me at least, it's dizziness.

No worries about the book Shannon, good for you for letting it go and having such a good time while going through the process.
