November 21, 2016

Shannon

I finished up the November Shakesalong by watching a film version of Much Ado About Nothing, and I went with the Joss Whedon version. As you can see, it's shot in black and white (in Joss's house no less), and there are many familiar faces from Buffy, Angel, Firefly, The Avengers and more. Actually, for me one of the joys of it was seeing an actor I've not seen since I watched Homicide: Life on the Streets. He was soooooo good in this, and I understood every word he said which is my test for if I think someone does a good job with Shakespeare. Great way to finish off this play. I wonder what will be the choice for next month.

Suzie

Finally, a good day! And I give credit to the power of pierogies. I had heard about this pierogi lunch and Reg and I went on such a dark and miserable day but when we went downstairs it was so warm and bustling with people enjoying good food, we were instantly feeling quite happy and as you can see, I wanted to eat everything on my plate. We also went to see Arrival which was fantastic.

That's Joss' house? How cool is that?! LOL. Good choice Shannon. I recognize two people too although who's that guy outside the window?

The power of perogis! That's awesome Suzie, I'm so glad you had a foodie adventures that was warm and wonderful. That's a heaping plate of goodness. Thrilled to hear more love for Arrival, I definitely have to see that one.

Apparently yes, it is Joss's house. The guy out the window is Alexis Denisof (Wesley from Buffy/Angel and he's also on Grimm). I figure you also recognize the guy on the right from The avengers and SHIELD, but I'm curious who else you know :)

OMG, of course that's Wesley!!! LOL. I can't believe I didn't recognize him. Yes, I recognized Coleson from SHIELD. The guy he is talking to is also on SHIELD and has been on a ton of other shows I have watched including Judging Amy. Not sure who the guy on the right is.

It *is* Wesley! And, for the record, I would say that every time he showed up on Grimm! It's Wesley Whindem Price! I am re-watching Angel right now so it's really strange to see him in this while I"m watching that (did you know he's American?). And, oh man... the centre guy (non-Wesley) was on SHEILD? I should have kept with it. He was an absolute joy in this, I hope I get to see him in more stuff.
