Jamie

Art Day yesterday was fascinating! A part of the assignment was to do things the opposite of what you normally do, to try things you don't usually do. So that's why you see so much green in my work, lol! And I saw more pink than I usually see over on Shannon's palette! I also tried working abstract, which I found really hard to do but I did eventually see some shifts in the work. It was a good experience to have patience and not despair. I ended up with fresh experiences and new learning. Plus, great company and a fun afternoon!

It has been a rough weekend with me injuring my shoulder so Reg took me to the beach downtown for a nice walk by the water and this was taken on our drive home. The trees are blooming all over the place. Spring is here!!! Poor Reg and his allergies though.

For a moment I couldn't understand the angle of the pic Jamie, I guess I'm used to being at the other side of the table! I had fun at Art Day too! I like the idea of not despairing, that's a good reminder for when the work is different than you are used too. I really like the paintings you did :)

Man, any picture of crabapple tree reminds me of home, no matter where it's from!

Thanks, Shannon! I so appreciate that :) And you know I love your painting, hehe!

Suzie, I'm so sorry that you've hurt yourself. That's so nice Reg took you for an outing and wow, spring really helps uplift the spirits with beauty like that. Gorgeous! There's still snow and grey skies here so I especially appreciate you sharing.

Wow, upside down art day, I love it! But yes, that must have been very challenging. Pink on Shannon's art?! LOL.

You know, those are cherry tree blossoms but I always think of our street with the crabapple trees when I see them too.

I'm glad you don't mind seeing the spring photos Jamie, I love sharing the beauty around here and I don't get out much. It was such a treat to be down by the water and have the mountains so close.
