Yesterday was both a big and gentle day. Justin started his new job and so far things are promising, which is awesome. I spent the afternoon packaging up journals to send around the world! I also signed up for Summer Pierre's comic class. Who knows where that will lead!
It's been pretty much all-kitchen all-the-time this week, so it was nice to kick back and do some drawing with the most recent Y is for Yellow class which had an exercise featuring one of my favourite artists: Dali! I had so much fun doing Dali drawings, it was great to get back to creating.

Glazed pinch pots are done! But I hurt my arm making a mug today and have a flare in my right shoulder. Just been too much lately.

Sounds like an awesome day Jamie, so much energy in so many good directions. Girls getting journals, Justin at new job and a comic class on the way - that sounds so exciting@!! I wonder what it will be like.

I'm not sure what Dali's drawing style is, I think I've only seen his paintings. The drawings I did were of photographs of him.

Shannon, I just love your Dali drawings. It took me a while to do these but I'm glad I did. I think this is an exercise I should keep trying.
Suzie, the pinch pots are wonderful! Wow, it is so cool to be creating three-dimensional work like that, which, of course, jewellery is too. And Amiguri. Hmmmm... maybe 3d is your thing!
Thanks Shannon! It's been rough losing the use of my right arm. Love the pottery class but I'm worried that's what set it off.
