Jamie

This weekend was grey, cold and reainy and it felt just right to hang out inside and read, watch, journal and, of course, have art day! We explored Lynn's next lesson in The Year of the Spark, which was all about colour mixing and value studies. I'm sure we'll talk about it on stART!

Since I don't get out to the theatre much these days, I thought I would expand some of the other ways I can watch film and 'rented' on via Google Play. I got Black Sea, a submarine thrilled starring Jude Law and watched it on my phone. The movie was pretty good and watching it that was okay. I wouldn't want to watch like back-to-back films this way, but for one it was okay. I think this could be a great way to see some fun newer stuff and stay more current, especially given the turn around time on stuff is a mere few months.

You value studies are awesome Jamie! I think the greyness of the colours we worked with totally matched the grey of the day! It was nice to stay warm and dry and make some art.

Late add from me.

Thanks, Shannon! And you're right about how the mood of the day matched the mood of the art!

What a great new approach to viewing, Shannon. I hope it opens up a world of possibility and enjoyment!

Wow, I totally want to take that lesson, Jamie, your painting looks amazing!

Shannon, is it cheaper than renting via iTunes? I had no idea there was that option!

I am not sure of the price difference renting via iTunes or Google Play, most Google Play rentals are $5.99 for HD and $4.99 for SD. Some are only available to buy though, but the selection is pretty good especially for indie and horror there are lots of titles that I've heard about and want to see..
