Jamie

Now, this is the way to start your day! I went over to Tanya's to co-work and was greeted with coffee and a red velvet cupcake - the first I've ever had! It was the perfect start to what became an insightful day.

Origami adventures continue, and I tried to do this one too fast (it's a seagull) and kinda flubbed it up but then Justin helped me!  Apparently it's a very paper airplane like one...and those have never been my strong suit.  But here it is!

Suzie

Yesterday we found out we are getting screwed over financially big time so I insisted we go out for a hot brunch and eat our sorrows away. Not that we could afford it. Not that it was a smart idea. But we are learning that we seem to have absolutely no control over anything these days, might as well have full stomachs.

Looks like we both got out for treats Jamie! How sweet of her. Did you like the red velvet cupcake?

Oh, Suzie, I'm so sorry to hear that. A hearty breakfast sounds like just the thing!

I did like the cupcake. I think though everyone loves red velvet because it's moist, right? That often makes it not my favourite. This was just the right thing at just the right time.

Have you had red velvet, Suzie? What did you think.

Red velvet cupcakes are known for being, well, red and super moist, it's true. I'm glad it wasn't too moist for you Jamie! I always find they're not moist enough for me, LOL. But I have only had them from the store and a box. I feel weird making them and adding so much food colouring. I also don't find them very flavourful, just a vanilla cupcake but then you know me, I'm super picky!

Cupcake...YUM! So sweet of Tanya to share! ;)

I'm so sorry to hear of the financial woes Suzie, what a challenging time it has been. I really hope things turn around soon.

Late add from me.
