Jamie

One of my favourite things in the world is to get out to a coffee shop with my journal, a book - and for the first time ever, a sketchpad! It's such a treat to just while away an hour or two refilling my well! I'm so glad I got some of that time yesterday.

After many, many years of awesomeness it was time for my red pants to find a new life.  It was a bit weird to cut them up into patches and rags, but considering they looked like they just survived the piranha scene from The Toy, I knew it was time. I'm keeping the stripes though. They will end up on one project or another.

That's such a good way to think about it, Shannon - giving something a new life. I wonder what projects those stripes will end up in!

How wonderful you could go out and enjoy the day like that Jamie!

Shannon, oh that is hard but I guess it is time. Love that you are saving the stripes.

No update from me. I was heavily medicated and on the couch resting my back yesterday. Boring!

I'm glad you got some rest, Suzie. I bet you and your body really needed it. Sending you love and a cuppa tea. ((hugs))

Way to go on sketchbooking it up while out journalling Jamie, that's an awesome first :)

I wonder where the stripes will turn up. I should have left more seam allowance for a new home for them, but ... there was only so much material left. I totally loved them as pants, but they were really done in that incarnation. I hope they turn into new thing(s) that are more happy memories.
