Jamie

It was wonderful to take some time to clean up the house get it ready for the holidays. The tree is so pretty and fills the whole house with a beautiful scent, not to mention the magical lights! Clearly Jinx is enjoying this setup!

Shannon

You know it's the holiday season when you can enjoy tea and popcorn while you do your morning pages well into the afternoon. :)

Suzie

There was zero sunlight yesterday but I couldn't wait anymore. I tried the hot chocolate mix I made and it was AMAZING!!! Super sweet though so I am going to try a sugar substitute for product testing with it but wow, delicious. I had no idea that homemade mixes could be that good. Don't think you save much money but you get a much better product.

Love it! Tea and popcorn really does say holidays to me too. We start ours at the end of this week.

Wow, Suzie, I would be so fascinated to try that! That's wonderful news it's so tasty.

And yay to popcorn with morning pages, Shannon. That just might be a new tradition!

Super late add for me but I made it before midnight!

Awwww what a lovely holiday picture with Jinx! It's so nice to have the tree up and everything all soft & glowy Jamie :)

I'm so curious about the mix Suzie, what's in it? I think the picture is good too, totally gives you the feel of chocolatey goodness that will be revealed!

Could Jinx be cuter?! I don't think so!!!

I got the recipe from Pinterest and divided it into a third:

"Best-Ever Hot Cocoa Mix from ATK: Working in 2 batches, process •3 cups nonfat dry milk powder •2 cups confectioners’ sugar •1 ½ cups white chocolate chips •1 ½ cups Dutch-processed cocoa •¼ teaspoon salt in food processor until chocolate chips are ground fine and well incorporated into cocoa mix, about 1 minute. Hot cocoa mix can be stored in airtight container for up to 3 months."

Very sweet so I am going to try using a natural sweetener that is popular in Latvia if you can believe it! It's made from birch trees, like maple syrup in a way.
