Shannon

I've been really hankering to get back to my Star Trek: The Next Generation re-watch.  I get a befuddled when having conflicting wants for it: to stick to my original format, finish by the end of the year, and general frustration that I feel behind my plans. But, I think the biggest thing for me with this rewatch is to ENJOY it (and have archive...I'm not gonna lie about that), but really to enjoy the process.  So I'm not going to rush it.  One more episode seen, and hopefully my post about it will be up soon. Fingers crossed.

Suzie

My life has been all Hal-Con, all the time. Yesterday I started working on videos. Seeing Richard Hatch was a dream come true for Reg. Apollo was his biggest hero in his life growing up and Reg even got to meet him in person (while I was at a Supernatural discussion group). Hal-Con was so amazing, it's hard to come down off that cloud. I do love documenting it. It makes it last just a little longer in our lives.

Yay for the return of the Star Trek re-watch Shannon! Slow and steady, that's right, and enjoyment being key is smart. :)

I see we have a sci fi TV theme pulling this post together, hehe.

Suzie, it's been so exciting watching all of your Hal-Con pictures and posts! Wow, it looks like you guys had an amazing time. I am just blown away by all that you were able to experience and the people that you met. Amazing! What a rich experience. And on top of that, you looked totally awesome!

Shannon, your pic looks so cozy!! I'm so glad you're back on the rewatch. I had a great time reading your post about the Tapestry episode. It's so great to be clear on your priorities. I have a feeling the enjoy-archive cycle is a total Shannonism, a necessary on Planet Shannon.

Thank you Jamie! We just threw ourselves into it and we are both struggling to recover but it was worth it. It was so amazing to meet these people and they were all so nice and warm and lovely. Oh thank you! I never thought I could pull off being a blonde but my inner Tank Girl helped.

It's true, Shannon, it looks so cozy there!

I'm so loving watching all the HalCon pics and videos, and hearing all your HalCon stories Suzie! It's true that documenting it does make it last a little longer, and it makes it easier (and fun!) to look back at it too!

I'm so glad you enjoyed reading about the re-watch Jamie! I have thought about retooling it or truncating it and just watching the shows, but there is something about the process of being with it on a deeper, reflective level that I'm really getting a lot out of. And I'm so happy I've realized that, because then I can let the time-crunch on it go.

Oh good Shannon, I am so glad! It's true, making it last longer this way is awesome. Although I finally took off the Hal-Con wristband.

I look forward to hearing more about the Star Trek re-watch Shannon and I am so glad you are getting a lot out of the experience.
