Jamie

Last night I hosted my Dream Team mastermind group and it was awesome. What a treat to have people over. it's been something I haven't been doing nearly enough of and something I enjoy so very much. I'm going to have to create more opportunities for this - and not just so I can buy treats ;)

Shannon

I've been doing a lot of reading this month, including a lot from this graphic novel series called Lumberjames. It's set at a camp and follows a group of friends who love to say "Friendship to the Max!" and "What the Junk?" It's been a lot of fun to read, but I was also happy to see the story of the first several comics come to a close because even though I enjoy it, I read it at the computer and that's not the best way to read for me. It was kind of cool to jump into something, enjoy it, and be okay with now going on to whatever the next adventure will be.

Suzie

This is an instagram photo of a gluten-free crust I'm working on. Reg wasn't thrilled about it when I told him I was going to use it for his rhubarb pie so I might make something else with it. The quality of my photos isn't super great because it's an older phone. Sometimes I wonder if that's worse for me than not using Instagram at all, since I am supposed to be a food photographer...

Wow, Lumberjanes looks awesome. Those phrases totally make me smile. I might have to borrow "What the junk!"

I guess after the rhubarb cake Reg is ready for his regular pie! As for the photos, I just love seeing what you're up to, a sneak peek into Suzie the Foodie's kitchen. That's what's awesome.

What a weird and wonderful story! Is it a young adult book Shannon?

Oh good, that's what I was hoping for Jamie.

Love the look of your event and yay to having people over!

Oh man! I should have posted a food pic! haha, never know when things will align. I would not say no to those treats :)

How wonderful to have your mastermind group over Jamie, and I think it's so cool you call yourselves the Dream Team! Woohoo! It's great to have people over to visit :)

Wow, gluten free crust? How does it stay together without the glu..? :) I hope you found a good way to use and and I would not say not to any kind of pie! oh, except pumpkin. That's a challenge with the foodie photos, I think of instagram as an instant connection. It can feel very curated and polished, but I like it when it's a little rougher around the edges.

Lumberjanes feels young adult to me, the characters are and that seems to be the tone although all the people I know who read it are adults! Probably ones that wish camp was as cool as it is in the comic!

Nothing like egg, butter and shortening to turn even gluten-free flour into glu! It was very good. Not as good as the real deal but still, not bad.

Good to know that Lumberjanes is young adult, thank you for letting me know!
