Yesterday was my brother-in-law's birthday and so we headed over for a lovely afternoon of a traditional Dutch party which included coffee and cake in the afternoon and being sure to congratulate the whole family on David's birth! One of the treats of the afternoon was enjoying their range of pets - a cat, a dog and a visiting bunny named Buhney!

Shannon

Jinx! I thought I would share this cutie pie pic of Jinx, even though it's a bit of a cheat as I took it on Friday! But she is so cute that I think it's okay :)

Suzie

Because of Reg's eye we stayed home for most of the weekend but he did drive out to Henry's so I could get a new tripod. I have looked everywhere. That plate is gone as far as I can tell and they did not have a replacement. Other than that, we took it easy.

Rewind: September 22, 2013

  Jamie

It would be hilarious to create a collection of photos in which we all were taking photos! There would be a million of them. I've been wanting to make these again for quite some time! I think I'm putting them on the list for next Easter for sure!

Suzie

I took this photo down at the South Shore when Jamie and Justin came to visit a while ago. We are starting to approach the spooky time of year which I normally look forward to but this year is coming way too quickly. The only good thing about it is soon life will hopefully calm down a bit. Been running the health gauntlet lately.

The piano is in the kitchen! The first round of repairs is complete. It turns out there was an incorrect piece with the leg so that still has to be resolved but this is huge progress. I did have to give up my art tickle trunk but I think I'll get the supplies on the book shelf and the trunk will move upstairs. The back of the kitchen is starting to get a little dedicated to the arts!

Yesterday was a weird day. I woke up at weird times, fell back asleep at weird times, had to get my new glasses... So it took me a while to put together this video for my new blender and the giveaway. This is the one where I hate my hair and totally screwed up a lot but I did more video and photographs and added music and sound effects and was kind of happy with it in the end. I am so going to get my haircut as soon as I can though!

Jamie

Yesterday was a day full of errands, including some emotional ones. I went to one of Mom's neighbourhood banks and it was really something riding that streetcar, arriving in that neighbourhood, like we did so very many times this summer.  I'm glad that a part of the journey today led me to coffee and journaling in a a spot I love in a neighbourhood I adore.

Shannon

Every once in a while I'm on the computer I get this unnerving feeling of being watched. And I AM! By the cat! I'm pretty sure he only has good intentions :)

Suzie

Our lawn was diagnosed as being unsavable so Reg and I have been trying to take care of it ourselves (first photo). It took days for us to get it to look that good.

As you go around the bend, it gets progressively worse. We are focusing on the dandelions and just to get two feet takes me about an hour. Reg was helping but the allergens have attacked his eye which is freaking me out. It is up to me to do what I can to make our lawn less of an eyesore. No pun intended. I can't wait to never weed again.

Jamie

Coworking at Tanya's was such a blessing for my heart yesterday. I was so surrounded by love - hers and all three of her cats! What a joy.

Shannon

The Moonhas been so full and bright these days, and sometimes peeks out a bit early. I know it's a fuzzy photo but it's really taken me aback how amazing and different it can look day by day.

Suzie

Had a great time chatting with Shannon for Hexed and also doing a major photo shoot and then video day all dedicated to my new blender. Reg ended up being my camera man for the "first smoothie" shoot and it worked out great! And, this blender kicks ass!

September 18, 2013

Jamie

It was a very full day yesterday! The day started with the second in a series of our Power Picnics. Chris has created such a beautiful creative space for around-the-table work like this. Then I came home and chatted with each of you for the podaversary celebration next week. Thank you so much for being an important part of yesterday - in so many ways!

Shannon

I didn't take too many pictures yesterday, but I love this one of the cat on the cards.  Sure...I put down my tarot cards for a moment and the kitty decides to snuggle up on them. Sigh.  I'll take it as a good sign.

Suzie

I thought the former crafts room was done. I took off all the tape, got out out my crafting box from the closet... only to discover that the walls need a second coat of paint. One was too thin! And then all hell broke loose yesterday. Little things that ended up curling me up into a little ball, totally overwhelmed. The moral of the story? Don't paint a room during the darkness of a tropical storm.

Oh man, it looks nice and everything but doesn't feel the same anymore.

Jamie

Well, I hope you'll let me bend the rules and share this photo badge by Paula. As I did my very best to work within my new schedule, as I did my very best to show up fully and work with focus and intention, it was such a joy and an affirmation to receive this beautiful gift from Paula. It's a heck of a journey and I am confident I'm on the right road. What brave little beings we truly are!

Shannon

I noticed this awesomeness when I was out and about yesterday.  I wonder who did it, and how it's survived all the graffiti around it!

Suzie

Yesterday was our official anniversary and Reg came home with these stunning roses for me. I had to rest most of the day and I still got a mini flare but these flowers make me feel much better.
