Jamie

Well, the piano made it to our place! I still can't believe the young guys that showed up got this baby up, over and home. I'm so delighted it went smoothly but it (along with everything else) has thrown our house into disarray! We intend to get the piano moved to the kitchen but want to feel secure in our flooring first. Then we'll get it repaired (the missing leg, for example) and tuned. Suzie, I'll look forward to you playing Fur Elise and Shannon, Christmas carols!

Shannon

Although this is technically a picture from last week, I wanted to keep it as today I finished off the yumminess of my Bday cake and Ice Cream.  YUM!

Suzie

During the week life is quite quiet but I went out and got some groceries and also this special Italian food edition of Cook's Illustrated, the best food mag out there for learning. Yesterday I finally woke up a little inspired about food. I love how they do so much recipe testing in this magazine so it was a bit of a treat for me. I was really getting worried that my fascination with food was waning.

LOL, Shannon, I wondered why you were watching Hell's Chicken (j/k)! So glad you enjoyed the birthday treatness!

Suzie, that's great that food has been drawing you back a little bit! I hope the book inspires you and the trend continues!

Wow, it looks so at home there Jamie! Who would have though? Although I know you are planning on moving it to the kitchen.

Hehe, I totally forgot to take a pic yesterday, so I got creative because yes, I did watch Hell's Chicken last week :) Good eye, btw!

I am so happy to hear that the piano made it to your place okay. What a day. It does look great in that spot though, although it's likely it's temporary home. I'm so happy you decided to take it, I'll be happy to play you Christmas Carols at any time... "Sleigh Bells ring, are ya listening? In the rain... snow is glistening... :)

I'm glad you found a book to help make ya inspired about food again Suzie! I've found it a challenge to get back to the things I enjoy doing as well, which feels heartbreaking but I also think it's very, very normal. Here's to being inspired again!

Winter Wonderland! Perfect :)

I'm finding it a challenge to get back to things too. Though I have started reading and that is a welcome respite.
