Jamie

After a long hiatus, Tanya and I were back to co-working yesterday and it was awesome. So much feels like it is changing for me and it is great to have some friend time to talk things through! I was also going to have some awesome sister time with Suzie yesterday but unfortunately started feeling really rotten in the afternoon :( I hope we can get something on the calendar soon, Suzie!

Shannon

Had a day of a little-bit-of-evertyhing, including cleaning my desk where I found these little watercolour abstracts sitting in a pile. I think they are much bettwer suited to being on display.

Cookbook Review: FEAST - Recipes & Stories from a Canadian Road Trip

I started off feeling pretty OK and even did an at-home workout but then as I started writing my Feast cookbook review I started to feel kind of crummy and not just because I ended up being totally disappointed in the book. I think I have been too busy and it has been too hot and smoky. Pushed myself too far and now I don't want to do anything. Ugh.

Shannon, those abstracts look wonderful. I love the way you chose to display them!

Oh, Suzie, I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed in the book and that you ended up feeling crappy. You and me both, sis! I hope that some rest will do us good.

Glad you got to spend time with Tanya Jamie and get some work done and yes, it's a shame we couldn't chat but I ended up feeling quite crappy too.

Shannon, love that you are displaying your artwork like that!

Yeah, it was a real shame about the cookbook. Even the recipes (the ones I could actually recreated) were meh so I could not sing the praises of it at all. I think it just confirms I have to do my own thing because I am so hyper critical. I do have one more cookbook to do if it shows up and then that's it. I'm done.

What a wonderful picture of you and Tanya! How great to be coworking again , it looks like you both are happy to be back at it.

So sorry to hear that you were feeling not the best Suzie, sounded like that hit both you and Jamie :( And I'm sorry to hear you were dissapointed in the book, that's never a fun reviewing situation.
