Jamie

Despite Justin feeling a bit under the weather, we had a wonderful day celebrating his birthday. The weather was sublime and made it just perfect to go down to the beach for our traditional birthday breakfast! We relaxed all afternoon and then went out for a wonderful dinner at a restaurant we hadn't tried before. It was a great adventure! Then we went for a nice long walk and came home to the surprise of a cake! Shannon is an amazing cake fairy. It was the perfect way to end the perfect day!

Shannon

I know you both already saw this one Facebook, but I still wanted to share it here as it was a secret birthday bake! Apple Upside Down Cake! I totally thought I made it up, but turns out there are lots of recipes for it. It was fun to try something new, and I think it worked out okay. Fingers crossed!

Suzie

Was a busy day today. Went out and got more food and supplies and then instead of doing creative stuff like I told myself I would do I ended up washing the floors (not all of them) which wiped me out. I managed to do a little more photography for my jewelry launch next week (not a bad cell phone photo eh?) and make a couple more pieces. I also made bannock (wasn't stellar) from a cookbook I am reviewing. Resting tonight big time!

I'm so glad to hear you and Justin had a great day, Jamie! YAY for birthday celebrations. The weather really was beautiful and I'm so glad you two go out and about (which helps the cake fairy!).

Wow, that is oodles done Suzie! And lots creative, photos, trying a new recipes...all exciting stuff even if the food thingie wasn't super awesome. And I hear you on floors...that's one of the most challenging things to clean!
