I am really enjoying guitar this season. We've been really good about practicing - you should see how many stickers are on our calendar for March! It helps to have wonderful songs like Hallelujah to practice. It inspires me to get more comfortable with the playing so that I can sing along!

I know this might not look like much, but it makes me happy!  I spent some of today organizing and cleaning the desk drawers, and I got through 5 of 7 but these 2 are the ones I was like.... aha!  I put more storage-y stuff in the bottom drawer and the more stuff I access frequently in a not-so-far-away drawer.  I know, I know, the origami is in the bottom but it's on the top which isn't too far more me, and also because the stuff under it is storage-y I don't have to rifle though it.  At least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

It has not been easy to do anything physical thanks to my back injury but I just keep going with one small project at a time. Yesterday I went through a kitchen cupboard, did not end up donating as much as I wanted to (you can see I am a hoarder of bowls) but sanded, cleaned and then painted inside this cupboard and the cupboard doors. I was hoping one coat would do but nope! So I wonder what I'll be doing today???

Last week I had a great chat with a knowledgeable friend about ways to reach more listeners with the Creative Living with Jamie podcast and she had some great suggestions, including Stitcher. I know Shannon's show, Before the Dawn, recently got picked up there as well. Stitcher has a great app for accessing shows and live radio on demand and I am thrilled to be a part of their community!

It's a Mr. Man Mug Shot pic today!  I totally forgot to bring my camera while I was cooking dinner, otherwise this totally would have been quiche pictures!

We had another day of shopping for selling the house which continues to be surreal. Especially since Reg and I really, really wanted THIS lamp but we stuck to the script. We did rebel a bit and got a "Welcome aboard!" welcome mat for the house (which is a little cheesy but could only work in the Maritimes) but it was in our approved colour scheme. Gave up trying to find a mirror for the bathroom, nobody seems to make medium-sized mirrors anymore.

Art day!! I just love it when we get time to do some art. Carla Sonheim's lesson in Life Book has kept us busy for weeks! We played with chalk pastels, gesso, watercolours, words, washi tape, collage, imaginary flowers, imaginary animals - so much fun! Still, it was great to have the sense of satisfaction of finishing the project. I think Shannon and I are both really pleased with how they turned out.

I had so much fun doing art this weekend, including finishing off this LifeBook lesson of a page pocket for the little cards of drawings, animals and flowers.  I totally loved how it turned out, and found use for a few of my origami kites!

With Reg's severance coming in and finding out we should be getting regular income in about two weeks, we have officially started doing the check list for selling the house. Our stager said we needed two tall lamps for the bedroom and voila! And they were on sale for half off. It feels weird buying stuff after living like monks for a couple of months now. We are doing the buying now while my back heals and then hopefully start painting to get the house ready to show. OMG! All of a sudden I feel like this is all really going to happen! And I am excited. Woot!

Jinx being all cute curled up on the couch. Now, you might be able to see that she is curled up directly beside her blanket instead of on her blanket. Ahem, Jinx!

Shannon and I had a rocking night on Just Dance and found ourselves #1 in the world a few times. It was so exciting. There was lots of screaming, jumping around and photo taking every time we saw this on the screen.

Was exciting to dive into the first few episodes of Big Brother Canada, and I freaked out when I noticed I was actually wearing the SAME SHIRT as one of the houseguests.  I think I will be rooting for them.  What a crazy coincidence!

Suzie

Thanks to you Jamie, I made these Cthulu wings from the pattern you used to make for Justin! I made it for my Cthulu appliqué. I blocked them last night so I can put it altogether and hopefully sew onto a shirt some day soon. I still need to give him eyes, I think I will make them out of clay.

I caught up on some vlogging yesterday, including an A to Z Tag (or alternately, an Alphabet Tag), and this one was Harry Potter.  But, I realized you can totally do this for other things like Star Wars, Star Trek and I might even try one for Supernatural.  Seeing that I'd like do more than one I made a title card (of course!).  I had tons of fun, even though it took longer than I expected.  The super amazing thing?  I started with A at the top left, and when I got all the way around back to the same spot...I was at Z.  Wild.

I had such a good time going out with my dear friend Sabine last night. I just love her and we always have so much to catch up on and so much to share.

Yesterday I spent time making lots and lots of origami kite-bases and fish-bases, but they seem to be cropping up in other designs and flummoxing me.  And of course, how fitting that this image won't do anything but show up sideways!  Argh!

I really just wanted to stay inside and continue my healing coma but we had to go downtown for a meeting. Turns out we got more heartbreaking financially bad news about our move. Came home and rested.
