Yesterday was quiet a day, full of lovely and sad. In the afternoon I had a wonderful time out with Juli Lyons for a coffee and camera date. She shared her wisdom and then we went for a walk in the park to put playing with aperture into practice. What a lot of fun! Then in the evening we ended up taking Jinx to the vet and were distressed to discover she's lost 1/3 of her body weight! She's definitely struggling and it's so hard to know that we're getting closer and closer to saying goodbye. It was so nice that Shannon treated us to some wonderful PC desserts, wonderful individual servings of cheesecakes. Have you seen these, Suzie? They even come in glass serving dishes!

Lesson 2 of Delicious Painting done! I'm still a totally kindergartener in comparison to the other students but it was fun to play with paint. I decided to do the same fruit and veggies as last time but with the undercoating of colour. I took this photo with my new camera too! And I did a ballet warmup and learned my first drumming lesson. Total artsy day, it was the best!

Suzie, I absolutely love how this looks. I could see a fabric exactly like that! And wow, what an artsy day! You really are embracing your artistic life. It's beautiful to see.
I'm glad to hear about your photography date but that is so shocking about Jinx. She was eating a ton while I was visiting, I wonder why she continues to lose weight. I'm so sorry Jamie.
Thank you for you kind words about my art. I love the idea of making my own fabric. :)
Oh my goodness, wait! That photograph you took, I think that's libernum. Mom was obsessed with those flowers! She came to Vancouver Island just to see them but they weren't in bloom when she visited. I think she was with you yesterday Jamie.
I just looked up libernum and you're right! Wow, fascinating. Thanks so much for sharing that, Suzie!
And I look forward to your fabric :)
Gorgeous photo Jamie! That is so awesome that Juli shared her photography wisdom and you two could go out and take pics together! And oh my, little Jinx. Littler Jinx! I'm trying not to get too sad, but it's hard. I'm glad the treats helped smooth over quite the day.
Wow, Suzie, what a total artsy day! That is extrodinary! I love your fruit and veg, what an interesting technique. I am so glad you are doing the class, and the drumming! So much creativity kicking around!
