Jamie
Art Day was a wonderful surprise yesterday. We did the Artist Quiz that Lynn created for the Year of Spark and were delighted to notice all sorts of new things about ourselves and our personal preferences. We'll look forward to hearing about what you discover, Suzie! I also played with a Lynda Barry exercise and put all of my coloured pencils in order of height - an easy way to see which ones you use the most! (Poor brown - it's almost always left out of my palette!)
Art Day! It was so much fun too work on the most recent Year of the Spark exercises. I actually went thru every pencil crayon! It was so much fun to look at all the colours and see which ones I liked and / or would use. So many colours and so much fun.
Suzie
There has been so much to catch up on since I got back out west! We went out for groceries and I found this beautiful… begonia (?) for the front door. I still have to actually plant it in the planter but the colour almost matches the roses growing out front. I knocked myself off my feet though, did way too much. Things calm down starting Tuesday. I can hardly wait.

I'll leave the floral detecting to Jamie! I know tulips, but everything else I'm shaky on, hehe. That's awesome you founds some great flowers at the store, and even better that they match your other flowers. Woohoo!!
Late add from me.
Yep, those are begonias - beautiful begonias! Mom loved that colour too. What a beautiful addition to the front of your house, Suzie, a nice way to be greeted when you come home. Be sure to get some rest!
Art Day was so fun, Shannon! You came up with such fab colour combos. What fun to sit and chat and colour and explore together!
Oh I can't wait to try the exercise! I don't have a lot of coloured pencils though, hope I can use markers.
Begonias! That's right. Thanks Jamie. Yes, such a lovely colour and made me think of Mom.
Yep, you can use markers or paint or whatever you like, so you're all set!
Look at all those colours Jamie!!! I am loving mining Syllabus for drawing exercise inspiration. I had so much fun on Sunday!
You can use any medium for the exercise Suzie! I can't wait to see what you come up with :)
