Jamie
There were a couple of highlights to yesterday. One was chatting with Suzie - yay!! It was so great to catch up. I especially should have taken a picture of us laughing about the cookbook idea - yay!! And last night I went out to choir and we had a brilliantly fun time singing Eye of the Tiger! Fun, yeah!
I'm feeling a bit out of sorts these days, but it was nice to get back to some normal things ... including reading! I got back to reading Le Morte D'Arthur and finished the third book (of like...20, 30?). Anyhow, I'm celebrating it because this book is tough! It's good to read it a little at a time, but I can see it's best to read the books within in within a reasonable period of time, although after a break in reading it I just went back and read the chapter headings to remind myself of what happened. Overall, I am understanding it more and more which is really exciting. (PS....sorry I've missed a few days posting, I'm gonna jump back in now!).

The highlight of my day yesterday was definitely talking to Jamie! :) But I didn't take a photo so I am sharing this photograph of my favourite salad wrap. I make it with hummus, feta and this time with Greek salad dressing. Delicious! I am continually impressed with how my camera takes photos in the kitchen. We'll see how it does on the darkest of winter days here but for now, it's so cheerful and bright!

I'm sorry to hear you're feeling out of sorts, Shannon! Though it's good that some normal stuff, like reading, helps. Your progress with Morte D'Arthur is impressive, especially actually noticing that you're understanding more and more. Very exciting!
LOL, that was my highlight too, Suzie, and I didn't take a picture either! That's wonderful news about your camera and wow, lunch looks delicious!! Yum!
So glad you got out to Choirx3 Jamie! And that it was fun. Yay! And yes, discussing the cookbook and laughing yesterday rocked.
Shannon, that's a tough place to be but I am glad you feel like you have gotten through it and yay for jumping back into the blog here. I am still so impressed you are reading that book. It's one I ran away from in university so Bravo!
Sounds like a really fun day Jamie! That is so cool that you guys got to talk cookbookness together, woohoo! And what a great song choice for choir, rock on Rocky!
Haha, sounds like you two had so much fun that no cameras came out to play! Now that's a sign of catching up big time :) The picture of your salad wrap look amazing Suzie! I am so glad your new camera takes great pictures in the kitchen! That must be such a joy. :)
I guess I got through the out of sorts ness, I had to go back and read what I wrote because of your comments! Eeps. Funny how quick things can turn.
Thanks Shannon and yes, it is wonderful that my camera is doing so great in the kitchen, I really can't believe it. It's making me feel like a lazy photographer not to try so hard all the time.
Yay for getting through the out of sort-ness Shannon. I seem to be there right now. It's good to remind ourselves that these are cycles and they won't last forever.
