I have started The Iliad! Oh my, this is one heavy text! I am actually listening to it via audiobook and the narrator has a wonderful voice with great pacing which makes it so much easier to understand. One of my favourite quotes so far is "Standing near him, Aprodite spoke. Her words had wings." Her words had wings. They actually use that phrase a lot, but this was the first time I heard it and it stuck with me. What are words like, when they have wings?

We finally got to the grocery store. It's been almost a month. I had these gift cards for groceries for work I did and I bought myself some treats at the store to product review, including these new chips. I checked everywhere in my hood and nobody had them. I have heard astoundingly delicious things about them and can't wait to photograph everything with my real camera so I can dig in.

Ohhhhh I'm so curious as to what these are like Suzie! I have seen them in the store but have not been adventurous enough to try them look. Looking forward to your thoughts :)
Late add from me.
I can totally see text with wings attached now! What a beautiful saying. Extremely metaphoric.
So you have seen these chips Shannon? I have been hearing about them so much. I can't wait until I have a second to taste them! That's one of the problems with food writing. Gotta get those killer photos before tackling a bag of chips, LOL.
Shannon, what a wonderful way to spend some time. And yay to having a good Iliad performer. It sounds like he also gives the words wings ;)
It always feels so good to stock up, especially when it has been a while. And what treats! I hope they live up to their reputation, Suzie!
