Jamie

Yesterday was Art Day and also the first day of spring! I decided to take a quick peek outside and was astonished to see these tulips coming up. It feels like just last week we had snow. I had to ask Shannon if she'd be patient with me and let me cut these growing beauties out of the protective chicken wire. It pained me to see them strangling between the wires and so I had to get to the rescue. I think a few of the daffodils I planted are also showing up, which is very exciting. I heard rumour that there might be a bit of snow tomorrow but with all this tender growth I sincerely hope it turns to rain!

A big project this weekend was getting the bookcases filled up. I had gone through my books during the week and it was really exciting to have them up on the shelves, both ones that are read and others that are unread. I'm still going through a lot of processing and deciding how I want things to be and it feels a bit weird for things to be different than I usually do them. BUT the one thing I'm loving is having 2 shelves of unread books as an at-home-bookstore. I wonder what I'll choose to read first!

Your enthusiasm for Spring is soooooooo exciting Jamie! You were so cute as you bolted out to the garden to rescue the flowers. I'm sure they are much happier now. And I really hope we don't get snow!

Late add from me, and although it looks a lo like a picture from last week I swear it's a new one!

I love that idea of an unread bookstore! Smart idea to put the unread books together Shannon.

Everything's looking more and more like a room, Shannon! Wow, I love the colour of your wall!

Lol, yes, I had to take a little heroic action for those tulips! I heard some freezing rain is on the way. I hope they'll be okay. It turns out it's a good thing I didn't get out there and clear off all the old leaves. They'll serve as a bit of protection and cover.
